Chapter 64 I have fallen into her trap.

I cannot get rid of the images I witnessed in the countryside. Megan's wicked smile as she handed the man a syringe flashed before my eyes, sending shivers down my spine. I am sure she is planning on injecting me with drugs or some kind of substance in order to manipulate me once again.

Megan is a ruthless and vile woman. She is too dangerous. I am determined not to let Megan hurt me again, not to become a victim of her manipulative schemes once more. My mind is set on protecting myself and not falling into her nefarious plans.

Needing to cleanse myself of the unease and tension, I head straight to the bathroom when I get back home. The warm, inviting water from the showerhead cascades over my body, washing away the grime of the day and the weight of fear that clings to me.
