The Suspicious Mentor

“What’s with their stubbornness? I can’t wrap my head around it. What on earth are they planning?” Alpha Matthew grumbled in the living room. 

Sighing, I approached him. “Are you still dwelling on it?” 

“Of course. I’m worried they have malicious intentions.” Alpha Matthew turned to me, attempting to force a smile. 

“Here we are, in the middle of the night, and you’re still thinking about them. Why don’t you save it for tomorrow, love?” I muttered. 

“Touché, my dear. But don’t you think they’re just so peculiar?” Alpha Matthew wrapped his arms around my waist and planted a soft kiss on my forehead. “Is Violet fast asleep?” 

“Out like a light since Mom put her to bed early before they left for Highcrown Walkers.”
