Ava's eyes still burned with the image of Marcus's smug face, his voice dripping with malevolence as he outlined his plan to Malicia. The memory of their conversation seared her mind like a branding iron, fueling her anger and determination. Ava knew she had to act quickly and stop Marcus and Malicia before it was too late.

"What are we going to do, Nadia?" Ava whispered, pacing back and forth in the cave. "We can't just sit here and let them carry out their plan." Nadia's presence stirred within her, a gentle hum of agreement. "We need to gather information, Ava. Learn more about their plan and how to stop it." Ava nodded, her mind racing. "But how? We can't just walk into their lair and ask them to spill their secrets."

Nadia's voice was a soft whisper in her mind. "Leave that to me. I'll scout ahead, gather information. You focus on finding a way to counter their magic." Ava's hands clenched into fists. "I won't let them win, Nadia. I won't let them use us as pawns in their twiste
