Chapter Four

RAVEN'S P.O.V

"You have absolutely no use in this pack Raven. We came to agree with the decision that even as a Beta you will be of no use for I want to believe that my brother; Enzo will in fact be the Beta of the pack. You are a disgrace upon this pack as you are nothing but a mere human." 

"This can not be true, I have worked my entire life for this position and regardless of the fact that you are the Alpha of the pack you can not take that spirit away from me, Plus you are very much mistaken for I have a wolf even if I can't shift yet. Julian..."

"Alpha..."

"Oh fuck it!! Never will you be my Alpha, for as long as I live you and your fucking brother will have no role over me plus I rather die than to be a sacrifice of that bastard!" I left the crowd in silence as I could hear my father calling my name but there's no damn way I am going to answer.

Taking a turn I head towards my room but the moment I was in it I knew something was wrong. A masked man came out of the shadows close to my wardrobe and attacked me.

Without thinking twice I moved and gave him an elbow punch, before he could take his stand, I grabbed his head and knee him immediately but then he grabbed my knee and pulled me to the floor. He attempted to put me in a headlock but I learnt to get out of that and I punched him towards his ribs making him hit the ground immediately.

I pulled the mask off and I realized that he was amongst the warriors. When I realized the twins were not going to take the Alpha position I knew that my position as a Beta was still going to be questioned and I'll be the head of warriors but being a sacrifice was way beyond disrespecting me.

"Who sent you?" I asked in a warning voice and he looked so scared. "... Answer my question and quit behaving like a fucking child!" 

"The Alpha"

"Those bastards!!!" The moment I spoke I felt their presence which made me laugh like a maniac.

"Who are you..."

"To call bastards? You both of course. What? Did you really think I'll be scared of you dumb heads..." I laughed as Enzo tried to stop Julian. "... It's my mistake that I thought you both could be my mates now I see that your father had made the same mistake trusting you idiots to be the rulers of this pack. An Alpha and his Beta..." I laughed more as the anger on their faces did nothing but make me laugh.

"Raven! Have some respect, they are your..."

"Who the hell are you to give me such orders? I had told you before that you do not belong in the category of men that are meant to be fathers, for I believe you are still a child who needs his mother. Your wife died and you threw away the only thing that she trusts you well enough with you and these two will never be my rulers. Always keep that in mind. You all have another sacrifice to sort before tomorrow or tick tock! The time is running and a devour of many will start upon the reign of these idiots." 

I walked out of the room. I felt the urge to kill but I knew I couldn't just kill anyone, especially the man I had called father for years, I was yet to believe he sold me off just like that when I had a lot of duties to perform in the pack.

It's quite unbelievable that I'm still surprised, I mean what did I expect? He gave an apologizing, a fucking apology this morning, that man never apologized for anything in his life for as long as I lived.

Sitting down in the game room I had the headset on and began to play carefully but then my anger was getting the best of me and I stopped. It hurts without a single doubt but then again I had no say even in my own sacrifice, there's no way in hell that I'm letting it happen.

I wish George was here. He was with me through everything but now that he is gone I have no one but his grave and my mother's. Standing up I headed towards the Pack's cemetery as I couldn't handle it anymore but then I accidentally bumped into someone.

I wanted to apologize but then I saw Julian start and seize him before wanting to leave but then he stopped me by pulling me back.

"Let go..."

"Can we talk?" I smirked upon hearing that from him.

"What do you want to talk about? How to kill me? Well I'm all ears." I could see the irritation in his face but he was trying to hide it which was confusing for he had never done that.

"Raven please let's be adults and do this how normal adults would do it. Look I know what we did is wrong but can we at least sit in your room to talk about this."

"First of all, I will not stay in the same room and did you just say what you all did was wrong?" I scuffed knowing how much of a bully these guys are. "... You can't fool me again Julian and if you truly want to talk about something then you are free to tell me right, right night.

"Ok fine. I'm sorry. I know what we did to you was completely awful and I am so sorry about that but in the matter of the sacrifice it's..." He trailed off as we heard a very loud growl.

He is here!

"You have to go, he is very angry right now." 

"Absolutely not!" 

"Then you leave me with no choice, he tried to catch me but I hit him where the sun didn't rise and I ran as fast as I could." I heard the cries of people as the growl grew louder but I didn't care, they were after me without a second doubt.

I ran outside and bumped into three guards with weapons but I immediately shut the door first before they got to me. With my dagger with me I killed one of them that dared to injure me but these two were a very hard fight.

"Give it up weakling, don't be so adamant to break your bones." Both of them laughed and I felt a sense of anger burn within my heart and I stood letting them do whatever it is they wanted but when they looked at me in a sexual manner I lost all sense of reasoning.

Without thinking twice I kicked him so hard on his face and stabbed the other in his stomach. I heard a loud bang on the door which only meant they were about to come out, I knocked out one of the guards and surprisingly the other ran away in fear.

So much of a warrior.

My wolf spoke and I thought twice about it. I wasn't sure what to expect but at this point I needed to go faster than I am and in the right direction.

"Take control you have to, just get us out of here!" My legs were becoming weak and it suddenly came to a pause which made me so worried as I couldn't control my legs. "... Is this your definition of fast?!"

She yelled at me and just before a finger could be laid on me, she zoomed off in the fastest way I've ever seen. I felt so confused as to how fast she can go plus she was using my memory to know the places in the pack.

We ran into the village and we froze in our spot as our eyes met with him. He was more larger than I expected, his face seemed like the most dangerous thing to come across and his claws were beyond me and they really expected me to be a sacrifice to this mother fucker? Oh hell to the no.

I ran left knowing that he was chasing me but the good thing was that I was very fast but when he catches up I know he is never letting us go. We ran into the forest and she pulled out her claws through my fingers and climbed a tree.

Thinking it was safe he appeared right in front of us with a crazy smile but before he could think of anything we clawed him deep into his face and flew off the tree. My legs were going as fast as I could but as he followed me, one of his kind suddenly appeared before me which made me confused and without thinking I slid underneath him and threw myself off the cliff.

If I couldn't get to live like I wanted then at least I'll get to live with my mother and George from now without being bothered about anything.
