Chapter 25: Ben clears all my doubts.

We had already spent hours in each other’s company by now. I looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was already 11 p.m. I could feel the hunger pangs in my stomach. I realized that just love alone is not sufficient for living in this world. Our body has other requirements too.

“I am feeling hungry, Ben. Is there anything to eat in the kitchen, or will I have to cook something?” I asked, as I was not used to cooking myself. I had maids for doing even the simplest of the household chores, and I used to depend on them completely for them.

Ben, who knew clearly that I was not in the habit of cooking myself, replied promptly, “Don’t worry! I will just prepare pasta for both of us within minutes.” He went to the kitchen, and I helped him chop the vegetables that he was supposed to add to the pasta. I realized that he was accustomed to doing such kinds of work, as he used to stay alone in the hut several times.
