Allison sighed deeply and nodded, letting the matter leave in fate’s hands. Esther was right. Ashina will go where she is destined.

They stepped near Zamini’s house. As Allison walked in front an invisible war yanked her back, ceasing her effort to walk further. Allison gasped, staggering back but composed herself.

“Are you ready?” Esther asked her before stepping ahead, stopping beside her. Allison snapped her head in her direction.
