“Hey babe." I greet, waving nervously at my mate.

She immediately stops screaming, watching me like a hawk.

“How are you feeling?" I ask.

“Who are you?" Came her meek reply.

I feel an ache deep in my stomach, and I turn away from her, attempting to keep my emotions in check.

I thought the worse pain I will ever feel is watching my mum get killed right in front of me and not being able to do anything, but the pain of Alena asking who I am hurts much worse.

Pulling my shit together, I warmly smile at her and move towards her bed.

She shuffles backward, taking a needle near the bedside table, and points it at me threateningly.

“Stay away from me. Don't come near me. I won't hesitate to use this in you."

Where the hell did she get a fucking needle?

I raise my eyebrow at her when I notice her hands shaking violently.

I chuckle at her and take long strides toward her.

“Put the needle down babe," I tell her.
