The arena was filled with every angel in the heavens but unlike the first time, it was dead silent. No one was as enthusiastic as they were before. Everyone was tensed up, Lucifer was going to pick ten of them at random and they all knew deep down that he was not going to make the games as easy as they were before.

After a long period of silence, Lucifer made an appearance with Adriel, Gadreel and shockingly to everyone else, Nahamani. Carshena stood up from her sit as she saw her checking her to see if she was okay. Nahamani gave her a slight nod that eased her temporarily. Her gaze then shifted to Lucifer and she glared at him. Lucifer came to stand in front of the arena, still holding Nahamani on his arm. His golden eyes scanned the entire arena. He saw that every angel was terrified and it made him happy. This is how a ruler should be.

"Angels! It is my great pleasure to announce the names of the contestants of this tournament. You should consider yourself worthy".

The next thing the angels saw were two large angels coming at each other with full force. The impact of their collision created a large bang that shook the pillars of the arena making the angels gasp in shock and fear. Michael intended to make the first move by swinging at Lucifer's face but Lucifer was already ahead of him. He blocked his arm and gave him an uppercut, sending Michael flying to the other side of the arena. Some angels winced at the impact while Gadreel and Adriel smiled subtly. There was no way Michael can beat Lucifer, he was going to die at the end of the day.Michael stood up immediately much to everyone's surprise. He had collected a lot of blows and hits from Lucifer before so he was used to it. He didn't really have a plan other than to try to hit Lucifer as hard as possible to weaken him, but even that seemed impossible because Lucifer had never shown weakness. He was so engrossed in his thoughts, he didn't notice that Lucifer was running towards him.

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   RETALIATION

The angels in heaven were silent, except for Michael whose low groans could be heard echoing throughout the arena. They were waiting patiently for the large smiling angel to make a move. Lucifer removed the key from his neck and admired it. Finally, he had everything he wanted. All those times of scheming and dealing with the angels insubordination were over. His eyes went round the arena, eyeing the quivering angels then right before their eyes, he disappeared. He reappeared right in front of the very door he was banned from. he felt like the door knew he was the winner of the tournament because when he placed the key into the hole, it disappeared and the door opened. The floors that were surrounded by flames were now free and the sword was no longer out of reach. Lucifer's eyes widened, he couldn't believe his plan worked. He couldn't believe that God was so dumb to let all these happen. He walked in majestically with his hand stretched out. When his fingertips

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   HEAVEN IS SHAKEN

The cries of war filled Lucifer's ears immediately. A horde of angels came after his subjects, their swords and spears clashing with one another's. The archers from atop the arena did not hesitate to shoot their arrows at unexpected opponents and soon after golden dust began to fill the air. Lucifer smiled broadly. He knew his angels had more advantage over the warriors of heaven, he had no fear. Instead of joining in the fight, he simply went to sit beside Michael's body which had not moved from its place. Surprisingly, he was still conscious but his hand was slowly withering away. Any angel that attempted to come at Lucifer did not even make it pass the center of the arena as Lucifer's allies struck them down with haste. The cherub pretended as though the sounds of the angel's cry was but a lullaby and focused his attention on Michael, who was glaring with all his might. Lucifer scoffed and raised an eyebrow in amusement, the ability for Michael to endure much pain was his

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   PLEA FOR HELP

Nahamani hesitated to raise her head up to admire the hall despite the indirect order God gave her. There was silence after he had asked that question a few minutes ago and she had delayed in replying simply because she was still baffled that she had not being killed by the maker and that he was speaking to her at this very moment."Nahamani?" God called again. Nahamani gasped, he knew her name. He had acknowledged her presence. She decided to speak so she would not incur his wrath."M--my lord". She replied in a mere whisper. She knew he had heard her but it was extremely disrespectful for her to reply in such low tone."Your thoughts are quite amusing to me, calm yourself". He said softly. Nahamani tried to breathe in and out but she felt like she was constricted of air."You will not die if you breathe right Nahamani". God spoke again. Hearing him call her name did nothing to ease her tension. God did not speak to her again, he let her be while he watc

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   ABANDONED

As Nahamani flew back down to the war zone, the blurry figures of angels began to clear up. Many of them had been slain and the few that remained were either protecting Michael or hiding in fear. The injured yet brave ones still threw themselves at the betrayers any chance they got. The buildings were in no better shape. The arena had been completely destroyed and the chaos had spread to the other beautiful parts of heaven. It turned out that while Nahamani conversed with the most high, Lucifer had instructed his angels to desecrate God's temples because none stood tall as before. Everything was in a mess and all hope looked lost but Nahamani no longer harbored the fear she had earlier. With new found determination, she flew with haste towards Beth who laid on the floor severely injured. A large chunk of her hair had been pulled out from its roots and her body was filled with bruises, Adriel had taken her time to torture her. The bright light that outlined her tall frame had g

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   RAGE

Lucifer watched amused as Adriel laid underneath Nahamani's new form. The latter was not generous enough to let her protect herself and occasionally, Lucifer would laugh at Adriel's attempt to cover her head. By his side, Gadreel fought off the angels that tried to protect Michael. As always, anyone that came too close to him found themselves in several parts of the arena with their bodies rearranged. Unlike the others, Lucifer did not act as though he was fighting against anyone. He was overly confident and he only took pleasure in watching the others suffer for his sake. While the screams of angels beside him was like music to his ears, he watched Nahamani and Beth tower over Adriel's frame. A scoff escaped from lips when Adriel looked at him, pleading with her eyes for help. She should have known what she was getting into, she should have known he would do absolutely nothing to help her not after she had messed up.He smirked at her in response and Adriel's shocked

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   THE FINAL BATTLE

Anger, determination or pain. Michael had no idea which one drove him to lunge after Lucifer like that, all he knew was he did and it felt good. He was happy that he could finally defend heaven like he was supposed to, he was happy that God had not forgotten them and Lucifer could finally pay for his evil against them and the most high. He remembered the look on Lucifer's face throughout the entire battle. Yes he had already become cruel before then, but the moment he took up the sword he became a monster. There was no redemption for him not because God couldn't give it to him, he simply did not want it.A cloud of smoke blocked his view for a minute as he stayed on the air, but when it cleared up a large hand greeted his face. Michael's head jerked back and he gnashed his teeth in pain. When he faced his front again, Lucifer growled and came after him. They used their hands to attack themselves on the air, they either scratched or hit one another repeatedly. It didn't help t

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   AUTHOR'S NOTE 2

Hi guys!I am done with the first part which is Lucifer's fall story. Like I said in the first author's note, this part was only to give you a head start of what was to going to happen later on. You can't skip it or else you will miss important parts of the story and you may be confused. Imagine the first twenty seven chapters as a flashback in a movie lol. The main story is about to start and we'll still get to see Lucifer again. I will be using Hebrew a lot in the story but I will leave translations below. Please also remember that parts of the things that happened in the book did not really happen in the bible, it's from my head but that doesn't mean I will stray away from the main events that took place. I am only using my imagination to create events that could possibly fit into the whole thing, if you get what I am saying. If there is anything you are confused about, you can always ask me and I will be glad to answer. I hope you'll stay till the very end, I'm extremely

Ezra was beyond intrigued. When Abaddon opened his mouth to give him a report, he had not expected what he heard. The angel that had attacked his servant had a bodyguard and they were staying with a poor human family. Ezra could never grasp what the angels did on earth, none of the demons could but this one was the trickiest of them all. He was sure of one thing however, that the female angel was important and now he wanted to meet her himself.Abaddon had been cured by his master and he was now touching his hornless head with a frown on his face but that was all he did. He couldn’t open his mouth to complain, Ezra would turn him into a crisp if he dared. He was lucky to be alive.“This human family”. His master started. “How many are they?”“I only saw one human, a woman. But she looked old enough to have children”.Ezra nodded his head. For him to check things out himself, he needed an excuse. The last thing he w

Aleph immediately used his hands to shield Azaliah and Hagne while he glared hard at Abaddon. He was terrified, this was the first time he was fighting a demon alone, and a high ranked demon for that matter. But he was Azaliah’s protector and his duty was to keep her safe even if he died. He didn’t want to die.Abaddon cocked his head to the side in a teasing manner. He had scanned the angel who had taken a defensive stance against him and he fought the urge to laugh. He expected the fight to be extremely tough but just like the female angel, her guardian was as weak as a leaf.“I’m waiting for you to strike the first blow”. He said tauntingly. Aleph’s frown deepened, the demon was toying with him.Abaddon wanted to know the strength of his powers before he did anything. If there was one thing he learned from his master Ezra, it was that power should not be wasted on the weak.Aleph still didn’t move. Partially be

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   GREEN MEADOW AND THE ONE HORNED INTRUDER

The same scenario that happened in the morning was taking place again. Hagne and her children were staring wide eyed at the green eyed man that was currently in their home and he stared at them with the same expression. Azaliah however was amused by their constant surprise even if she knew it was expected.“How…how many of you are planning to come here?” Hagne finally asked, her eyes shifted from Azaliah to Aleph. Both angels looked at each other and shrugged simultaenously.“Just us…we hope”.“You hope?” Hagne asked with wide eyes. Azaliah walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder, she gasped at the contact.“There’s nothing for you to worry about, you’re safe”. She looked at the three children beside her. “All of you”.“Actually…They are not”. Aleph butted in. “And neither are you”.Azaliah turned slowly to h

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   COLLATERAL DAMAGE

“I’m going to kill her! But I need to find her first”. Abaddon crawled on the rough stairs with a loud groan. His body was injured and one part of his horn was missing, he looked more horrible than he already was.“I am going to kill her!”. He repeated, as if that would alleviate his suffering. Abaddon knew his suffering had just begun and it probably won’t end anytime soon. He knew he was extremely stupid crawling back here like he had not failed an important mission, he had a lot of guts. A lot of guts to die.“I’m…going to kill her…” He said again, his voice extremely low this time. He had arrived at his own judgement place and he probably would not be scared.A black, high throne was at the centre of the huge pillar that his master once stood on, with demons surrounding it. The more he came closer, the more they snarled like they could read he was now a failure. The throne, luckily for

  • LUCIFER'S BANE    A PAIR OF GREEN EYES

To say Hagne was speechless was an understatement. She thought the angel couldn’t look any more divine while she slept, but now she was heavenly breathtaking. And her children agreed with her.Their eyes were wider than saucers and their mouths were open, there was no human being on earth that could look that good. Impossible. The angel in front of them shifted a little like she was uncomfortable, so Hagne drew herself out of her trance and stepped forward. The angel backed away.“Uh…hello”. Hagne awkwardly said. The angel didn’t reply. She eyed Hagne from head to toe before doing the same to her children then she returned her gaze to the woman, still not speaking a word.“My name is Hagne”. Hagne stated, she pointed at her children. “Those are my children, Fia, Ciro and Edvige”.Still no reply. It was Hagne’s turn to shift uncomfortably. Did the angel not like her? Was she that ba

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   BURIED SHAME AND GOLDEN IRISES

Hagne was slowly regretting her decision of coming here. The stares that the man across her gave was the cause of her regret. She and her husband were seated now, with drinks in front of them. Hagne ordered a cup of water, her husband ordered a beer. As usual. They had been staring at each other for a minute. As awkward as it was, Hagne refused to back down from her glares. She hated him, she had every right to. The fact that he looked even more healthier than her made her hate him more.He now wore expensive robes and clean sandals. She could tell he was fatter and his hair was neatly combed, not as disheveled as it used to be. He actually looked like one of the patricians. She hated it.How dare he be happy? After all the troubles he caused and after he left her to fix her issues on her own. After abandoning his family, for fame and wealth. She hoped he would choke on his beer, or die of liver failure. Any of the two worked for her. After a long

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   IN HOUSE STRANGER

Hagne stared at the sleeping figure on her mat while she slept. The woman that fell from the sky the night before had her white hair cover half of her face. She slept calmly like she was at peace. Hagne had never seen someone as unreal as she, she was like a literal angel. No, she was actually an angel. It was hard for Hagne to process what was going on. Why did the angel have to fall in front of her house? And why did it have to be at a time like this? She decided after a long while that she would leave the questions to the angel when she awoke.Hagne’s eyes darted to the horn that was once in the grasp of the angel, she gulped. She couldn’t help the fear that crept up in her. What kind of thing did she do that got her in trouble with a demon? Because only demons had horns that hideous. But still, the angel must be strong if she could pull that out of the head of a demon.Soft footsteps tore her mind away from her pointless thinking. H

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   FURY, CHILLY NIGHT AND A LITTLE BIT OF THUNDER

Renato sat on one of the soft chairs in the Consul’s chambers as two concubines each walked in with a tray of food and fruit on one hand and a wine jar on the other. As they set the items on the glass table, the purple transparent linen that they wore stuck to their bodies, showing off their naked skin. The Consul smiled in satisfaction before hitting one of them on her rear end. The lady giggled and ran out of the room with her companion.A sigh escaped Renato’s lips before his eyes took in the designs of the room to distract himself from the scene that took place s few second ago. A small laugh escaped Consul Cicero’s lips and he reached for the jar of wine before pouring its contents into two golden glasses.“I see you like it”. His deep voice boomed throughout the silent room. Renato nodded and smiled slightly.“It’s impressive”. He responded. Cicero laughed.“Of course it is, I make su

  • LUCIFER'S BANE   TROUBLE IN THE HOUSE

“Round them up, put them in the cellar”. The soldiers moved immediately, pushing the group of prisoners into the wooden cellar. Renato watched them from a distance, his hands gripping the reins of his black horse tightly. His face was so stoic, one would think he was about to murder someone. The old man he had arrested earlier was the last to be thrown in. He was covered in blood from head to toe and his breathing was very shallow. Renato tried not to think of the moment of his arrest and also the look of horror on the little girl’s face who was with him. But as much as he tried to pretend, his facade broke immediately the old man looked him in the eye. Renato briefly thought of looking away but then chose not to because of his position. He was a centurion, why would he be scared of an old man? The man in question lifted his pale lips in a small smile before he was dragged into the cellar. As Renato stared as the soldiers closed the doors, the not so
