CHAPTER 6

FIX

Z I O N

The moment we arrived back in the beach house from Pacific Beach, Harry was silent. He went upstairs and stayed in his room the entire morning while all of us were resting downstairs.

“Where’s the other guitar in here?” Neal asks.

“Diana might have eaten it.” I joked.

Diana rolled her eyes at me and I just adore how annoyed she gets every time I tease her. “You surely love to annoy the living hell out of me.” She says while walking to the kitchen.

“Don’t forget the foods in the fridge are not yours!” I yelled out.

Neal laughs his hysterical as he strums the guitar on the foot of the staircase.

Around two in the afternoon, I had woken up from my sleep and I didn’t know I had fallen asleep on the couch and was tired since we slept late last night and we had to wake up early to leave the beach. Harry finally went out of his room and went out to surf hours ago while Neal is nowhere to be found in the living room. Georgina-Rose must be sleeping in her room too while D

We’re just two friends going out to have something to eat. Damn, it has been making me anxious since a while ago because I have been in a relationship for four years so I was never used to having dinner alone with a man other than Charles. I usually go out in with my group of friends and coworkers but never alone with a man.I reminded myself that it was okay to have dinner with an opposite sex because I was single and I am not stepping onto some boundaries. Also, I don’t like Zion emotionally, but I guess I didn’t want to be alone while having dinner tonight. I didn’t really want to think that he asked me out for date because I didn’t want to be awkwa

I realized that I was in a hospital. I approached the information desk where I see a few hospital employees in uniform were on stand-by while the others were busy taking calls. I walked closer to their table and realized that I was in St. Pierre’s Hospital in London, England as I see the logo in their uniform. My eyes were then captured when I saw William and Liv entering the elevator who were talking to each other. “Oliver? He had long gray hair which was passed his shoulders but unlike Harry’s, his hair was straight and magnificently silky. He was tall and had broad shoulders, his beard trimmed but were all gray like his hair and his eyes were immensely blue, like the ocean in the morning. CHAPTER 9HEAL AND BE AWAKENEDH A R R Y May the both of you heal from your pains and be awakened soon.I still can’t read through the lines because I didn’t understand what he meant when he told us to be awakened. Be awakened from what? From the reality? From our pain? From being a prisoner of our pasts? From a dream? It could be a metaphor or a hyperbole but what? It could mean something or a thousand things but I know there’s so much more than the superficial fact of those words but what is it?I have been thinking about it all night, repeating his words inside the back of my head again and again but ended up with one conclusion. Cortèz could possibly mean that we need to be awakened and face our problems instead of escaping and dodging from it. We should take the bullet and feel the pain so that we can move forward feeling healed without looking back and regretting things.I groan as I sit on this sand by myself while I push my hair back.I haven’t slept the entire night thinking

I should not have forced her if I knew it would end like this. “Don’t worry. We will.”The rain was still not stopping from pouring and it was already getting darker outside. We didn’t have food left to eat instead we only had these bottles of water. I know we’ll most definitely spend the night here since the rain does not look like it’s going to stop soon. America had finally fallen asleep on the cold ground of this dark cave and both of us had been dried up. The only light that we had was from her phone but we had absolutely nothing to cover ourselves.I was still shirtless and I was still shivering but not as much as I did

EPILOGUEPOT OF GOLDI have always been fascinated of the beach. There are so many things to do to enjoy and relax and there are a lot of sexy girls wearing bikinis almost looking like it is close to nudity. Yet, I love it. I love it all. I love watching girls in swim wears and how they play beach volleyball. Although I loved the sexual stuff of it, I have always thought that there is something about the sea that just calms my soul and my mind to a whole different level.I never really told anyone about it but it always has that kind of effect to me. Although no one knows much about it, I didn't want to look too softy on the outside being all sentimental about a petty thing.Everyone I know has always seen me as strong and very masculine with the way I dress, talk and act. With all the physicality that I have, everyone assumed that I am a cold-hearted tough guy. People who don't know me well would say I am an aloof. Kids and other townspeople would rather say I am scary. I have had a

It definitely seemed like it.Although I was lost, somewhere deep inside me felt like I was found. I felt surprisingly calm and warm as the sun was hitting my face. Sunlight always felt nice and even though most people don’t like to be under the sun for too long I think there’s something about it that’s calming at some point.Scorching was a word that would best describe the heat of the sun right now. I closed my eyes and felt the gentle and cool sea breeze passing through my hair and hitting against my skin. It was a bright sunny day but the wind felt chilly which provided a perfect balance. For a while, I stood there just feeling nature which was surro

It felt so surreal seeing her again.“Diana, is it really…” I trailed off and realized how frightened and shocked she was. I realized that I was getting a little too suspicious and too close knowing that she is a young woman and I am an old man approaching her pettily. I didn’t want to look like a predator.I chuckled humourlessly, “I’m sorry.”She smiles wearily, “I’m sorry too but I think you have the wrong person?”I felt disappointed.“My name isn’t Diana.” She adds.I smiled tightlipped. “Of course.
