Three years had gone, and Rose got pregnant by a Turkish man named Ferit Yildiz, one of her customers in the club. Among all her customers, Ferit was different because he promised her a good life.
She hoped the man would marry her and take her to Turkey, but when she was probably pregnant, the man disappeared and never showed up.
"Mother! Mother!" She shouted as she felt the sudden pain in her belly.
"What is it? The noise has reached the house next door..." She said as she approached Rose, who couldn't paint her face.
"It's about to come out.. Ah!!" It screamed, writhing in pain. "Wait... Shit! What am I going to do.." Her mother panicked and left the room. It dialed the phone quickly. "What?!" Alright.. I'm on my way.." Daryl answered worriedly.
In less than 15 mins, Daryl was in front of the house. "Man, just wait.." He said to the taxi driver and hurried inside.
"Mother! What is this animal doing here??" Rose complains when she sees Daryl. It's been two years since she ended her relationship with Daryl because she caught him with another woman and got pregnant.
"Calm down, Rose.." Daryl said as he carried her out of the room. Her mother followed, who also hopped in the taxi.
"How can I calm down? You're an animal! I said I don't want to see you anymore! Your face is shameless!" Rose screamed out loud. Its face is irritated.
"That's right, just shout, so you don't feel the pain..." Daryl answered who was next to the driver. "For god sake Maria Rose! Only one woman has tasted Daryl compared to you, who already had with all men.." Her mother mocked.
"Mother! You don't know anything, so don't interfere! Ah!!!!" She shouted again."Just hurry up, man, please. " Daryl said to the driver, sweating even though it was air-conditioned.

While Rose's mother was sitting, Daryl was walking steadily. A few moments later and the nurse came out.
Daryl immediately entered with Rose's mother after giving them the signal. "Your baby is a girl, sir..." The nurse said with a smile, noticing that Daryl was just standing there and couldn't get close to what she thought was the father.
"He's not the father.." Rose corrected immediately. The nurse is ashamed, heading out of the room with the Doctor.
"Stop, Maria Rose. Where's the father?! Do you see anyone else besides Daryl?" Her mother is against it. She pushed harder.
"Get that shameless guy out of here, now. Thank you!" Her anger is apparent. Daryl backed away hesitantly. "I'll go first, Mother. Just call me again if you need anything.." He was about to leave when her mother followed.
"Hey.. Daryl..""Yes? Mother" It immediately turned around. The woman closed the door. Daryl seemed shy and moved away from the room.
"What's the matter.. maybe you saved something there. It's just an additional payment to the hospital."
"Ah, yes, there is. It's good that you reminded me. Of course, there is. I've been saving it for a long time. It's really for Rose's labor." He handed the old lady a thick roll of money. "Oh, you're different. You really love my daughter, don't you? So does that mean you're going to adopt my grandchild too?!" Its eyes speak clearly."I can do everything for Rose, Mother. You're right.. I love her with all my heart. I was just really drunk and in a bad mood that night. I betrayed her with a random girl."
"Oh, you don't need to explain, Daryl. You're like a son to me. I know where your resentment toward my daughter comes from. Still, I hope you understand that she is responsible for us as her family." She patted Daryl's shoulder.

Six more years passed, and Daphne started school. Daphne is a happy and intelligent child.
Sometimes other kids like her because of her different eyes. Daphne got the green eyes of her Turkish father.
Meanwhile, she became the target of the mothers' gossip. They said she was the daughter of one of her mother's customers.
That thing never left Daphne's mind until she was in grade 12. Rose returned to the club after giving birth to Daphne. While Daryl acted as a father to her, her mother's only brother also became an excellent uncle to her.
"Mom, the school year is almost coming. Won't you enroll me yet?""What school are you talking about? That's okay.. You know how to read and write. It's good that you graduated from grade 12. Come to your senses.. You have to start working.."
"Mom. I want to continue until college..""Alright, if you can provide for it. Oh, enough of this nonsense topic." Daphne was left feeling sad.

When Rose arrived at the club, she quickly went to Mother Lili's office because Monique said so.
"I'll be straight, Rose. Don't you have a daughter? Maybe it's possible.." Rose's ears perked up immediately, and she instantly understood what the other person wanted to say, so she directly cut her off.
"No, Mother Lili. My daughter Daphne will find a decent job. She will not end up like me." Rose was against it presently. Her fists clenched on her thighs, shaking.
"Hold on... Finish me off first.. I need an extra server. She won't be dancing or entertaining customers. What are you babbling? And by the way, your schedule changed. You may come to just every MWF...""And why is that??" Automatically came out of her mouth.
"Why, Rose? What do you think of yourself? Getting Younger? Hey, maybe you don't know that your sweetness is also running out. There's much younger than you out there, and almost no one wants to date you. I'll only lose money if you keep coming in daily.." Rose did nothing about Mother Lili's decision.
When the night was over, She talked to Daphne about the offered job at the bar and to save money to continue college. "Why are you making your daughter work at the club, Rose?!" Daryl disagreed.
"And who are you to talk to? I'm the mother, so I'm the one to decide..""It's okay, father. Another thing, Mother is right so that I can save for the next enrollment." Daphne's groin smile was strained. They are currently in the living room.
"That's why I can provide for you, kid..." Daryl spoke again. "Wow.. Why don't you just focus on your real child Daryl and don't interfere in my daughter's life!" Emphasizing it.
Today is Daphne's first day as a waitress at the club where Rose works. Primitively, Daphne didn't know what to do. Eventually, the job became easy for her, taking orders, bringing food to the table, and cleaning stuff, except for talking to drunken customers."Miss, can you sit with me and perhaps show some extra service..?" Someone said to Daphne. The girl's chest promptly heaved. "I'm just a waiter here.." She stuttered, talking back, and immediately left as she placed the bucket of Pilsen on the table. As the days passed, Mother Lili noticed that Daphne became the apple of the eye of every customer who spent nights at the club. The others even come back often just to see and fantasize about Daphne."Hey, Amiga.." Monique gasped when she saw Rose."Oh? What's up?" Rose answered while looking in the direction of her daughter. She was leaning on the pole of the countertop of the bar."What came into your mind, and you put my goddaughter to work here?!""What's wrong with that? It's o
"Mother... I don't want to marry that old guy. Please, even if I don't have to study anymore..." Daphne knelt, begging her mother when they were at home. "Stop acting, Daphne. Stop crying! I thought you were smart. Why don't you use your brain now? Huh? Your life will be fine, baby... Listen to me. I know better what will be good for you..." no "I don't want it, Mother..." Daphne whined. Rose turned back with her hand falling. She couldn't stop the tears from flowing down both her cheeks. "I'm so tired, Daphne.. Please.. You're my only hope to get out of this miserable life. What will you do in return for all my sacrifices to raise you? Is this how you're going to repay?" "But Mother, I can work.." # # # # In so much fear, Daphne was not in the right frame, leading to a terrible decision she would ever make at her young age. Daphne strongly decided to leave while her mother was fast asleep. She brought the bag that her mother had packed earlier. She wandered on the road a
Cara got bored, waiting for Daphne to go down, so she followed her into the room. She looked over at Daphne, who was sleeping soundly. "Hmmm.. She's quite pretty.. Huh.." She smiled while crossing her arms."Am I going to wake you up or what? We need to talk.." Cara spoke to herself, still peeking at Daphne. She snorted and walked around the room. After a while, Daphne woke up."I'm sorry, Miss Cara, I fell asleep.." Cara faced her."No, it's fine. I'm sorry I woke you up, but it's right because we need to talk. It's about the job I'm going to offer you, Daphne. If you are still interested, of course.." As she spoke, her curly hair seemed to sway. "Yes. I'm interested. Any job.. I will not be fastidious, Miss Cara.. as I badly needed it." "First.. stop being so formal. Our age gap is just a little bit.." She explained to Daphne with a smile. "Alright, Miss Cara.." Daphne said hesitantly. "Remove the Miss. I may look old.." "I'm sorry.. O-okay." Daphne said back."So, do you prefer
As Daphne refused the offer, she went back on the street, wandering around, but nothing exactly to look out for. She could hear her belly grumbling, touching it as it felt so frustrating that she was drawn in to go back but lifted her head and shook to stand on what she thinks is best. "I told you it won't work, Cara.." Craig said in dismay, staring at his sister and then walking out. Cara just sighed but still thinking the other way around. As she always does, choosing to play around rather than put herself under pressure. "Cara...." A husky voice interrupted her busy mind at the bar. "Hey.. What a coincidence, hmm." She said prominently. The guy just chuckled in a catchy tone, lowering his gaze as if admitting she was right. "So, I guess you already know me.. Come on, Cara. I like you. Didn't I miss making you feel? Don't you have the same way?" "Hmmm.." Cara is humming, nodding with a pretty smile fixed on her lips."I do feel the same way, Dilton, but you have known me for
[DAPHNE YILDIZ] I could not do anything but accept my destiny. Despite the thought of wanting just to die, I still tried to strive, walking nonstop, trying to find something I could use in my struggling journey at the dump of garbage. My feet are shaking... My head hurts because of how many days I have been without anything to sustain my body. I seem to lose hope and even myself, near to losing my sanity. I look around, but nothing to see. A sudden drop of water seems to stir me up. It's about to rain. I abruptly haste, partly running to hide somewhere, but then the rain poured so harshly that it totally soaked me underneath. My mouth is already catching the falling rain due to so much thirst. Thankfully, it wetted my dried throat. I'm like a pitiful creature who has forcibly adapted to its surroundings. A few moments later, my stomach grumbled again. I was overwhelmed by the street restaurants. I feel so hungry that I want to grab any food I see.I feel like I just want to do b
WHEN Daphne got conscious, she was already lying in bed. A bunch of uncertainty knocked her off when her eyes rested on the vicinity. Dreadful queries filled her. "Where am I?! What am I doing here!?" Those were running over and over again in her innocent mind. She got up and left the bed, heading to the big door. Her fist immediately came to its constant knocking. "Open it!!! Is there someone in there? Can you hear me? Let me out!!!" It screamed almost hoarsely, and her nerves came out from the side of her neck. Despite the noise, no one answered. Her energy just ran out, but no one paid her any attention even though she knew there was someone due to the soft laughter on the other door. After a few more hours of feeling hell, someone finally showed up—a girl with a bland face. "Hey! Help me out, please..." Pleading with agony, the girl leaves a plate of so-called food far from it and looks like garbage. Daphne shook it so it fell and scattered on the floor. She was helpless
"You don't seem to be your bubbly self. Are you okay?" Craig couldn't help but ask his twin sister when he caught a glimpse of her. They are currently at Zeke's wedding ceremony, Cara's ex-boyfriend. "I'm lovely, brother," Cara answered without looking. When the ceremony ended, Cara planned to leave without informing Zeke, but he saw her. "Cara! Hold up!" Zeke called out, but she just looked straight at the road she was walking by. Zeke called her again. Craig didn't know whether to stop his sister or let it go. He knew there was something troublesome with Cara since they arrived at the wedding venue. "Don't look back, brother!" Cara restrained her brother when he was about to face Zeke. "If you don't confront him, he'll think you're still affected. Is that what you want to happen?" Craig was trying to make a point, but Cara seemed adamant. "I don't care what he thinks, brother. I just want to go far from this place as possible. You can stay if you want but don't stop me. You d
"Why didn't you talk? Instead, let them treat us this way, brother?" Cara nagging. "Cool down, Cara.. I have a better plan. That girl will regret this. I'll make sure of that." For a moment, Craig dialed his phone and talked to someone. "Let's go now." "No. I want to go home.." Craig agreed as Cara demanded, together heading back to the car. Cara fixed her sight at the window. Her blur memories with Zeke linger in her mind again. Craig just let her and just focused on the road. When they arrived, Craig did not hop out of the car. "Hey!" Cara shouted as her brother drove away after taking off. "Where is he going? Does he still intend to stroll??" Craig went to an illegal auction. Cara didn't know that, and only Craig and Eroz did. When Craig spoke on the phone with Eroz, he mentioned something that could solve his problem. He followed Eroz's advice to go to the address Eroz would give. A woman greeted Craig when he arrived at the place. "This way, Mr. White.." Craig was surpr
It was challenging to leave Cara, but I had to, despite not wanting to protect the company she built and worked hard for. Even though our time apart would be brief, it felt like an eternity. I entrusted Kazzy to look after her, knowing she would provide excellent care. We have made plans to Facetime daily to bridge the distance and alleviate the feeling of being away. Since arriving discreetly in Spain two days ago, my mind didn't leave Cara. Craig made an excuse for a leave of absence as he needed time for us. We must go together to avoid suspicion. However, my heart yearns to be back with the woman I love. If I could just do things fast, I would. "Are you ready?" I stood up to meet him with confidence when I heard his voice. We rented a hostel that was not eye-catcher to proceed with the plan. "Of course. I have to be." I assured him despite my initial doubts about becoming a mother at a young age. I know that I am capable of embracing this new chapter in my li
"Daph, I'm really concerned that you might get sick if you keep this up." I was lost in thought when a familiar voice broke through. It's been a whole week now, and I haven't left the hospital once. It's starting to feel like a second home to me, but not in a good way. It's as if I checked in, and there's no check-out date in sight. My attention shifted from Cara to Craig as he walked in, looking like he just got off work. "Have you eaten?" I asked, not paying attention to his words from earlier. He seemed like he was neglecting himself already due to his heavy workload. I didn't want him to end up in a hospital bed, either. "Let's not change the subject. I'm serious. If something happens to you, my sister will never forgive me. Worst.. She will definitely, no doubt, kill me." I stood up to tend him but felt unsteady. Luckily, Craig quickly caught me before my face hit the floor. "This is exactly my point!" He said firmly. "You're asking if I've eaten, but you're sk
A few months passed, and Cara still didn't wake up, but I never dared to give up or stop hoping that one day she would come back.. to me. She needs to come back to know how much I love her. That I am ready to love her completely, love only her. "Daphne.. Why don't you take a break? Go home. Rest assured, I'll keep an eye on her." Craig uttered, patting my back, but I don't want to. "No.. She might open her eyes today. I don't want her to think I'm not on her side." "Of course not. Cara will not think that way, Daphne. She knows you. You know each other well." He said those with a bit of a laugh in the end. "You guys are like twins. Something connects your gut. Okay." For an instant, I come to think of it. "Besides, don't you have class tomorrow?" He's right, and I'm kind of losing track of my Acads as my focus was on Cara's recovery. "Fine.." I lifted my hands in defeat. "..But call me asap when she gains consciousness." Craig nodded. From that day forward, Cara is a sl
[DAPHNE WHITE]When I got conscious and gradually opened my eyes, I instantly closed it again 'cause of the pang in my head. I held on to it. "Don't move yet." I should have gotten up. There was this urge I could not stop from igniting within me. I must see Cara before it's too late. "Where's Cara? I have to go see Cara!!." I screamed out at the top of my lungs as I cupped my bandaged head. I heard Craig sigh, an indication that something terrible had happened. "Please, Craig. I need to talk to Cara. I can't lose her." I begged, trying to take off my bed. "Yes, Daphne. I understand you, but in these times, you have to put yourself first. Get well first." What I perceived was not processed in my brain. All I could think of was Cara. I have to stop her from leaving me for good. "You don't understand me, Craig. I can't lose Cara. She needs to hear what I have to say." I feel like I'm losing her. I seem to be late, messing things up, and I could not afford that to happen. This time
[DAPHNE YILDIZ WHITE] "Let me help you," I said, not heeding her words that seemed like a knife that could easily make me bleed. "Stop, Daphne! Just... Just go away. Get out!" She struggled with my touch. "Alright. Alright. I'll leave you alone after this." I just want to help her change and feel comfortable so she can go to sleep. "You are not listening, Daphne. I said leave!" She pointed to the door out. I gulp and freeze on my stand. This is the first time Cara has driven me away. She must be distraught by me. I couldn't do anything but follow her because I was already feeling pain from her sudden treatment. THE FOLLOWING DAY.. As I stepped out of my room, I was thrilled to see Cara heading out. We were so engrossed in our own thoughts that we accidentally collided. Our eyes locked, and in that moment, time seemed to stand still. Without a word, Cara drew nearer, and before I knew it, we were wrapped in a warm embrace, sharing a heartfelt kiss. This was only my s
[DAPHNE YILDIZ WHITE] We just finished our two classes, and we are now heading to the cafeteria. While walking, my mind was too preoccupied. It's been two days since Cara unleashed her true feelings towards me, loving me romantically, in exactly fine words. It's just a simple fact, yet it seems like a storm that literally washed the hell out of me. Suddenly, my world had gone wild enough to sabotage my sanity continuously. I'm so fucking confused about what to feel anymore. What exactly is inside my chest? Is this just a phase that, as days go by, it will all pass? The day Zammy asked Cara if she likes me and I found out that I was only a responsibility and obligation to Cara, I felt terrible. Now that Cara said she loves me, I still can't get what my heart really yearns for. This is fucking fucked up damn shit.... "What's with the long face, Daph?" Bridgette's brows knitted as we settled in our seats. The noise surrounding us was like nothing, as chaos ran through my w
From the stairs, I already smelled the aroma of something that was definitely coming from the kitchen as I got to see the dining still empty. I walk through it, following what my nose lingers with. "Good morning." I heard her greet me without even paying gaze on me. How did she sense my presence as I stepped soundless? "G-good morning," I respond, stuttering. I can see that she's in the mood, literally not sick at all. What a trap, Daphne. You, indeed, know how to tame me. Lucky for you.. What bad luck for me. I was taken aback when she suddenly turned around, facing me while holding a spoon. "Taste it, Cara." Hesitantly, I still obeyed her, opening my mouth. I swallow and lick. "Not bad." Her brows wrinkled in awe. "You don't like it?" I just hissed, turning my back on her. Everything about her... I don't just like it. I love it, except for her mixed signals. Her confusing motif, actions, and behavior. Before I could go far away, she already stood in front of me. "Tell me
"The fuck! You are going, Cara." Kazzy yelled at my back after I said to Daphne that I'd be home, just give me a half hour, and don't sleep yet. "I'm sorry, Kazzy, but I have to go. She's sick." I explained, walking inside to grab my things. "Sorry for your damn self, Cara. And please.. She won't die. It's just a simple sickness. Oh Gosh!" I just threw her a 'my decision is final.' look. "I love her. I will always put her on top of my priorities." Before I turned my back to her, I saw her sympathetic face as if saying that tonight was my funeral. When I reached home, I went directly to my room. Abruptly, I come closer to the woman who's lying in the bed. "Hey... Are you alright? Did you drink your medicine already? Since when have you been vomiting? Did you consult the doctor already? What did they say?" Non-stop, I murmured as I sat beside her after she lifted to tend me, leaning on the headboard. She did not say any words and slowly caressed my cheek. Her eyes were red,
Many days had passed like a breeze without seeing Cara. As time went on, I couldn't bear to be without her presence, so I thought of going to her office, to pay her a surprise visit. I was walking in the hallway and was about to open her office door when I was stopped. She was with another woman. It's not Kazzy because I know her voice anyway. Perhaps her assistant or whoever. I didn't think about it anymore and just went in."What's happening?" Suddenly, my heart beat faster when I saw someone sitting on her lap. They stood up together, but the image of their previous position was left in my mind. "What are you doing here, Daphne?" I can't speak suddenly. It was as if something blocked my throat. My chest is tense up. I don't like how I feel. "Nothing in particular.. I just brought you lunch. I barely see you at the mansion, so I thought of coming here. Alright, I'm leaving." I quickly turned around after placing what I was holding on her table because my tears were about to fa
