Chapter forty seven: He blames me

KAMARIA POV

I dashed out of the kitchen like it was on fire in search of my crying baby.

I rounded to the door just in time to see father and Davina making their way to the door.

"What happened?" I asked anxiously hurrying to Davina. I began to search her body for any injuries without waiting to hear the reason she was in tears.

I was in mother mode. My heart was pounding like crazy, scared of what injury I was going to find.

"She is not injured," Father's cold voice interrupted my frantic search. I immediately stopped, and then pulled back to regard my daughter with a puzzled frown.

She had tears streaming down her eyes, and they looked a bit swollen.

"Why are you crying baby?"

She sniffed strongly, her slender frame rising heavily with her sniffles. She didn't answer, but continued to sniffle as if trying to bring her tears under control.

"I told her that grandma was gone," dad said softly.
