Chapter Fifty Four: It is a long story

KAMARIA POV

"You didn't have to help me," I mumbled joining him at the boot of my car.

"I know," he said without lifting his face from what he was doing.

I stared at him but he wouldn't look in my direction. I don't like this awkward tension between us. Things are already weird between us and we haven't even fucked.

I signed and then walked away, joining my dad at the porch.

The door opened bringing out Davina and her load.

"Morning sunshine!"

"Did we have to leave at the crack of dawn," she grumbled not answering my greeting.

"First of all young lady, a greeting or returning my greeting will be a polite thing to do, and secondly, it is eight o clock, hardly the crack of dawn."

"Whatever," she walked away leaving me staring in confusion at her.

"What crawled up her ass this morning?" I asked no one.

"Maybe she doesn't want to leave."

I turned to look at dad. He tried hiding his feelings from me, but he wasn't doing a good job of it. I could see the sadness and the tiredness
