DAMIEN POVI felt lighter after she left. Shocking right? I didn’t expect her but her being here made me feel better. I took out my phone and dialled my mother’s number. “I can explain,” she said immediately she came on the phone. I guess she already knows why I am calling and thinks I am mad. I don’t blame her. I was livid but it turns out that it wasn’t all bad the few minutes we spent together. I don’t think Kamaria and I have spent that amount of time with together without being at each other’s throat before. Being with her today felt different. We might have started on a wrong foot but it straightened out as the day progressed. Maybe because I didn’t see the pity in her eyes that the others give me. “I am listening ma,” I said in a flat tone, not sounding mad, not sounding happy either. My neutral response confused and rendered her speechless. “I am not mad mum,” I said into the phone when the silence lingered. “You are not! Does that mean she didn’t come? That bitch! I kno
KAMARIA POV I woke up this morning with certain feel of excitement that I couldn’t pin point the reason why, but I had this bout of energy that had me up very early and on the move. I woke Davina, whom as I predicted yesterday looked tired and grumpy. I got her ready for school and called the office to inform them that I wouldn’t be coming in today. I will be helping out Damien with the hire this morning. I forgot to tell him when I will be dropping by, but I figured it doesn’t matter since I am going to be early anyways. I ignored the little spark of excitement that hit my inside at the thought of seeing him. Whatever that is it is just gladness from not having to be in bad terms with the father of my kid. At least now I can rest without having to watch my back wondering the next stunt Damien will pull. I don’t know where this our budding truce will lead, but I am willing to see how it goes. “Mum, why haven’t uncle Reign called us in a while?” Davina asked as we drove towards he
DAMIEN POVAll through out the interview I couldn’t abide Kamaria’s coldness. She barely looked at me and acted as if she couldn’t wait to leave. I didn’t want things to end like this between us. I liked the rapport we had yesterday, and I think I prefer not to have us at cross hairs anymore. If for nothing else for our daughter. With that in my mind I said the magic words. “I am sorry.”I don’t think she was expecting it. The shocked look on her face was pretty hilarious but I didn’t laugh. Saying it the first time was hard enough, do I have to repeat it. In the spaces of twenty four hours she has made me apologise twice. Don’t know whether that is a good influence or not. “I am sorry,” I repeated after taking a deep breath. She didn’t respond and just stared at me so I continued. “You were right when you didn’t show up early I assumed the worst of you, and it is nobody fault except mine.”I didn’t want to dive into the whole mess th
KAMARIA POV Again I was trying to prove a point, being in the moment but his question caught me of guard. I can’t answer that honestly, then again I have already started down this road, and can’t ignore the question. “Forget I said anything, just know that I don’t pity you,” I rushed out and got to my feet, my face on fire. Please let it go. “This crap actually taste good,” Damien moaned.I looked down to see him eating his tacos, and a smile of relief appeared on my face. Thank God.“I told you so,” I smirked at him feeling proud for being right. “Does this mean we aren’t leaving?” I looked hopefully at him. I will hate for our plans to be destroyed by some jerk ass who isn’t worth anyone’s time.“Yes,” he smiled once again reminding me how gorgeous he is. My heart skipped a beat and I quickly looked away to avoid being sucked in by his good looks. I need to keep my guard up and remember that Damien can
DAMIEN POVShe stopped the car a little bit far from the house and stared toward my mother with a weird look on her face, and her hands holding tightly to the steering. “Is something wrong?” I asked gently, my eyes focused on her face. I know she and mother never got along, the reason why mother told few months ago, but with the their recent meeting I thought things will be easier between them. “I don’t know if I am up to meeting her,” she muttered softly underneath her voice. She wouldn’t look at me. I don’t know what the problem is. She and mother already met, and if she agreed to help me at mother’s behest shouldn’t it be that they resolved their issues first? “I thought you have already met,” I teased, trying to make her smile. She didn’t. If anything she looked a bit unease. “Yeah, well… “ “Well what?” I am a little confused as to what she is afraid. A sheepish expression appeared on her face befor
KAMARIA POVI don’t know what came over me that I had to practically race away from Damien when I saw his mother. Things between us have changed and a part of me is scared that Carolyn wouldn’t accept. She might have acted all nicezy kitty with me the other day but a Leopard never changes it’s spots. Since it was not yet time to pick Davina from school and I have got nothing else on my plate, I decided to go home and rest. When I got inside my room the pile of dirty clothes in my laundry basket was the first thing that caught my eye. I sighed at the sight of them. I have been putting off doing laundry for days now, because of work. I looked from the basket to the king size bed whispering my name. Another day wouldn’t hurt, I thought to myself. I undressed and got into bed. Just a little nap, I told myself and dozed off. My phone ringing was what woke me up and when I looked at the clock by my bedside it showed that I am tw
A month later Is been a very intense few weeks filled aches and agony as I worked my muscles and bones tirelessly to get them working again. Kamaria had been a good friend cheering me on even when she wasn’t here, and that helped me immensely throughout this period, now I have finally regained the use of my legs. I can walk without the aid of crutches or the wheelchair. This happened few days ago but I kept it from Kamaria. I wanted to surprise her when I am a little stronger on my feet, and today is the day I will show her. I grinned at the sight of the training room. I told Martha to set it up for my surprise reveal and I must say she did a wonderful job. She decorated the room with fancy lights and balloons, and then set up a candle light dinner which will be more like lunch but anyway it was a romantic set up. I wanted to treat Kamaria and show her how much I appreciated her support during the darkest moments of my life. I wheel
KAMARIA POVI let out a loud moan as his fingers filled my inside. I felt very full, and it has been a long time. The pleasure wrecking through my body was unbearable, I felt as if I am going insane. I couldn’t breath, all I could do was feel. “Open your eyes.”His soft command forced me to open my eyes. I hadn’t be aware when closed them. His deep blue eyes when I gazed into them reminded me of the ocean, turbulent with waves, such was how strong the emotions radiating from his eyes. I never thought there will come a day when Damien will look at me like this. Tenderness mixed with intense desire. I felt so overwhelmed that my eyes grew wet. I didn’t look away as he started to thrust inside me. Slow and gentle while keeping our eye contact. So different from the forceful way he usually takes me in the past. I wonder how he will feel if he learns that he is the only man I have ever slept with. Over the past ten years finding
