Just as I said, I didn't let Javon's appearance affect me.

To be honest, I did think about it the day after that but that was it.

As soon as Mr Quinten reached out to me and told me that he wanted to see me, I was back on my feet and all those feelings flew out the window and into the trash.

I marched into the building with my head held high, going straight to the first floor to deliberate on the first step in Javon's downfall.

His acting all innocent, like he didn't know what he did five years ago wasn't going to get him out of my sight. Even though he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, I knew it was just a facade to trick me.

Mr Quinten was in the office when I walked in and his secretary stood up to smile at me as she directed me to his office.

Why was she always smiling?

It was a Monday morning, nobody should be that happy.

His head was bent into a file he was reading, and his glasses rested on his nose. It was very simple to mistake him for Javon.
