Hazel looks around as if it’s just like a snap of a finger to her, Will she call it magic, or his trick, two days ago this man looked so vulnerable and today he acts like she’s at his mercy.

Two maids walk into the room smiling for Hazel to frown at them.

“Ma’am, the boss asked we dress you up and take you to the mansion,” one of them said for Hazel to frown.

“I have my own home, I have to go home and

“It’s not necessary, everything you need is in the mansion Besides, the contract said, you can’t leave without permission,” Alex said walking into the room.

“Excuse me, I didn’t sign my freedom sir, I have a life to….

“You agreed to everything with a nod Marie,” Alex said for Hazel to frown.

“Don’t call my middle name” she quietly said for Alex to walk towards her while the maids dropped the clothes and left.

Alex walked closer to Hazel who was on the bed, the closer he got to her, the more Hazel felt nervous and her saliva became too thick for her to swallow.

Alex bent down close to Hazel as he bowed his head to her making her move her head to the side

“Your freedom is now at my mercy. You lose it the day you run away from the motel” he said for Hazel to frown.

“And you won’t leave without my permission,” he said again for Hazel to swallow hard.

“And I will call you whichever name I wish” he finally said for Hazel to look at him.

“Don’t call me Marie” she said this time with tears in her eyes.

Alex looks at her wondering if the name holds something in her.

“Get ready, I’m introducing you to my family dinner tonight” Alex finally said as he was about to leave, Hazel stopped him.

“I’m not ready to meet anyone in your family,” she said for Alex to turn.

“You are in no situation to object,” he said and walked away.

Hazel hit the bed in anger.

Why is life turning its back on her, after being betrayed she’s now stuck with this ruthless-looking stranger. How is it possible to agree to something just by nodding her head, now foolishly she signed a contract. She hit her head in anger.

“Stupid, stupid Hazel, you should have insisted..ahh,” she said and sadly sighed.

She was so in pleasure that she just nodded to whatever he was saying and now she was in a trap. She began to wish she walked away, she began to wish she had gone home straight because she didn’t think this life that she just created by signing something she didn’t even know was a good one for her.

The maids came and dressed Hazel up in a blue Jean and black polo shirt and took her for breakfast then Simon drove her away.

Hazel gasped seeing the mansion outside, She wondered why such a beautiful house will be in the middle of the woods, the man was so mysterious, She wondered as they drove to the main road and zoomed off.

At the McCollum family mansion, Kayla brought her two best friends as she’s so excited because tonight will be her ring-choosing day at the dinner, she wants to dress so elegantly as she will walk with Alex to choose a design they want.

“So what has he said about the wedding I’m sure his father is not the one marrying you” Cynthia a dark-haired girl said to Kayla who looked at her.

“At first it's an arranged marriage so he doesn’t have to do anything,” Kyla said smiling.

“Ma’am I’ve booked the spa section and it will be mid-noon” Kayla's maid walked into the room asking for her to nod.

“I’m excited for you Kay, like you are so lucky. Alex is every socialite's dream, no dating scandals, he’s so straight, he doesn’t date but he will fuck you to the extent you won’t want to…

“Have you guys fucked before?” Kayla asks the other girl who immediately looks at her.

The blonde hair girl Sarah shook her head immediately.

“He didn’t, that night after I undressed, he said I don’t suit his taste,” she said for Kayla and Cynthia to chuckle.

“I thought as much. Well after we are married, no more of “how good he is gossip” “ she said using her both hand to do the quotation marks

“Because he will be all mine.” Kayla proudly said.

“I saw your followers have increased just after the night of the engagement announcement. That’s so shocking,” Cynthia said for Kayla to giggle.

“I’m Alex McCollum fiancé girl, did you know what that means?” She said smiling.

“I wish I could be there to see you both selecting the design for your ring like I wish my dream guy could just appear on me like be my wife,” Sara said sighing.

“It doesn’t happen like that if you don’t have a mother like Kayla,” Cynthia said for Kayla to frown.

“Meaning?” She asked Cynthia to raise her hands immediately.

“Your mother is hard working and make sure she gives you whatever you wish for a girl, You should be proud,” Cynthia said for Kayla to blush.

“I’m so proud of her. I can’t brother Alex, Are you seeing his physiques, it gets me wet that instant.” She said as her cheeks began to turn pink.

At Alex's mansion, Hazel gasps as she can’t even cover her mouth seeing herself standing in luxury.

“Wow,” she kept saying for the maids to smile.

“Ma’am please let’s show you your room,” the butler said for Hazel to nod as she kept looking around.

The maids around were wondering who the strange girl was because their boss had never brought any girl home not even his stepmother's daughter who was announced to be his fiancée.

The butler took Hazel to his boss's room as instructed and immediately she stepped into the big room she frowned.

The color of the room was black, the energy it was giving was so chilling to her that she stepped out immediately.

“Uhmm what’s your name?” She asked the butler who smiled at her.

“Butler Thomas madam,” he said for Hazel to nod.

“Uhmm are you sure this is my room?” She asked for the butler to nod.

“Yes ma’am, the boss asked we put you in his room, everything you need has been arranged inside the wardrobe, at the…

“No.. no no. I’m not going to that place, please give me another room. I am not a fan of this kind of room design so I…..

Hazel's heart began to race, she immediately rushed downstairs as it was not just the color of the room but the frequency it was given.

The butler immediately followed her wondering what was happening.

“Madam, calm down, I will ask the maids to move your things.” The butler said in a worried tone scared she might not be a fan of the room color like him but he had no choice. Anything he enters his boss room, it’s so cold that he feels every corner has air conditioners fixed on it.

Immediately the maids move Hazel's things away to the room on the second floor as only their boss's room is on the third floor.

After taking a cup of milk, Hazel calmed down.

She didn’t want to ever step her leg into that room again, She didn’t know but the energy it was giving was too cold.

She stepped into her new room, Hazel sighed as it was painted white and had pretty elegant designs.

She sat on the bed sighing, just two days ago, her life turned around.

She walks into her balcony and she gasps seeing the big green environment of the mansion making her wonder who this strange contract husband is.

“Ma’am” a maid walks in.

“The boss asked we dress you up for the dinner tonight,” She said for Hazel to sadly sigh.

She walks to the bed sitting down.

“Please what’s your name?” She asked the maid who smiled.

“Grace,” she said for Hazel to nod.

“Can you talk to me about how your boss's family is?” She asked for the maid to nod.

“I’m sorry ma’am I’m not allowed to say anything to you apart from my work,” she said for Hazel to sigh.

“I know, I just need help Grace, I’m here, I don’t know who I’m with, I….

“I’m sorry ma’am, Please once you are ready for the dull up, I’m downstairs,” Grace said respectfully and bowed her head before she turned and left making Hazel frown.

Grace can’t take the risk of being caught gossiping about her boss, no matter how the lady pleads, her boss won’t let go so she should avoid it.

At Hazel's little apartment, ever since Steven heard a strange man come to look for Hazel, he wasn’t settled with it. He went to her work and the same thing was said to him and it got him so worried so he decided to go check on her.

Steven knocked on the door of Hazel's apartment but got no response.

“Haze it’s Steven” he called out but Hazel didn’t respond, Steven turn the knob and it opened making him frown. Steven walked into the apartment and everything seemed intact but Hazel was not around. He even saw her phone on the cushion, he saw her cup of hot chocolate but he frowned when he saw dust on the screen of the phone, The cup had little dust around it same as the chocolate inside it.

“Hazel” he called but no response.

Steven wanted to call Katherine but he knew it was a bad idea so he immediately carried Hazel's phone and left the apartment.

At Alex's mansion, it was evening already, Alex hadn’t come back while Hazel was being dressed, and her hair was parked in a messy burn. She doesn’t like much makeup so the artist just touched on her then she wore the red elegant dinner dress.

Hazel sighed as it was the first time she was wearing such because she was always on simple wear be it dates or parties.

Hazel looked at herself in the mirror, her blue eyes staring back at her, the off-shoulder long-sleeve dress stuck to her slim thick figure making her look like an elite. She never knew she was this beautiful.

Hazel smiled at herself but her face turned back to sadness as it just came to her that anytime she chose a sexy dress to go on a date with Steven, Katherine always went against it with words like you don’t look good on it, Steven don’t like you exposing. Now she understands she’s been on the blind for years if she calculates it.

“Ma the boss is around and waiting,” Grace said for Hazel to turn.

She took a deep breath before she put on her heels.

“Goodness. It’s too high” she said as she’s not used to high heels.

“Madam, it will go with the dress and make you look very elegant,” the stylist said for Hazel to sigh.

“Please package a flop for me, I can’t stay in these for long,” she said as they gave her the black purse.

Hazel took a deep breath as she walked out of the room with Grace's help.

Alex's tall figure turned towards Hazel as his dark hair covered his left eye, his well-tailored black suit fit his figure and with his coat, he looked like the cold man that he was.

Nervously, Hazel walks towards him as his eyes look all around her body making him give a sly smile.

He gave her his hands and as she gently held them, he dragged her to his chest making Hazel hit his chest.

“Ahh,” she gasped for Alex to smile.

He put his hands in his pocket and brought out a box, he opened it and two diamond ring was in it, he put one on Hazel's ring finger and then wore the other one.

“If we come back, I want you back to my room,” he said for Hazel to quickly shake her head.

“I can’t step…

“Don’t test me” he said with a sly smile as he held her hands and they walked out of the mansion…

The woman and the hunter looked at each other. He sighed, then bit his lips. “If the chief finds out, they will kill one of the children,” he said, making the woman bite her lips in worry. “I’ve been trying to reason with him about how much it will affect our population and community if we keep killing twins. They are born special,” she said, and the hunter nodded. “Let’s help her. She’s not of our clan. She and her babies should not be punished,” he said, making the woman sigh. “We don’t know where she comes from. Her injury is severe. We can’t take her back to where you found her because she’s running from something. We—” “My farmhouse,” he interrupted, and the woman nodded. “I will take my wife and daughter so they can help care for her until she heals,” he said, and the woman agreed. “Let’s do that now,” she said, and they both nodded in agreement. Hazel could hear footsteps crashing through the underbrush behind her, men shouting orders as they gave chase. Her heart pounded in her chest, her breath coming in quick gasps. The chase was fast. Despite her big stomach, Hazel ran with the desperation of a woman fighting for survival. She could hear the voices of the guards behind her. As she ran deeper into the forest, the darkness swallowed her. The thick canopy of trees blocked any rays of sunlight. “Put on your lights!” she heard one of the guards scream. They hesitated at the edge of the forest, unable to follow her blindly into the darkness. But Hazel didn’t stop. She kept running and running because she would rather die than let Harden deprive Alex of his role as a father. Branches scratched her arms and face, but she cradled her stomach protectively as she weaved through the trees. She had no idea where she was going. All she knew was that she had to escape. She stopped and turned, her legs burning, her lungs aching—but

Alex frowned after seeing Simon and Grace’s red dot concentrated in one area, while Hazel’s was moving away. Immediately, he grabbed his phone and dialed his D team. “Follow my wife,” he ordered, then called Simon. The phone rang and rang, but no one picked up. He tried again and again, but still, no answer. On the last ring, someone finally picked up. “This is Inspector Austin. The user of this phone was involved in an accident,” the voice said. Alex frowned, standing up. “Which hospital?” he asked calmly, though he wasn’t calm at all. “New York Hospital,” the inspector replied. Alex hung up immediately, but before he could process the information, his phone rang again. “Boss, we missed the abductors. The jet already took off,” the captain of the D team reported. Alex’s frown deepened. “Jet?” he asked, looking at the red dot that began blinking due to a lost signal in the clouds. “Find who took my wife, idiot!” Alex screamed, hanging up. He slammed his fist on the table, dra

Grace was embarrassed. The look on Alex’s face made her immediately hide her phone. Alex scoffed, then sat back, watching as Grace swallowed hard.“I’m so—”“Is your salary not enough?” Alex asked, causing Grace to immediately bow her head.“I lost my previous phone, boss. I was planning to get a new one once I go out with Madam. I’m sorry, boss,” Grace immediately apologized.“I asked a question,” he said quietly.Grace raised her head, then immediately bowed again.“It’s more than enough, sir,” she said, bowing her head as she bit her lower lip.Alex nodded, then opened his wardrobe and brought out a new phone and a SIM card.He unboxed the phone, turned it on, and installed a personal tracker. Then he placed it on the table. He picked up his phone, activated the SIM card, and set it down. Looking at the still-embarrassed Grace, he spoke.“Fix this on my wife’s clothing, somewhere she can’t see it,” he instructed.Grace bowed and carefully picked up the SIM card.“Thank you, boss,”
