Abigail's POV

"That isn't possible Henry, I'm not going to stay in the maid quarters." I finally found my voice and I retorted calmly, making my stances clear.

He didn't reply, instead he made another announcement.

"If Abigail dares set foot within the grounds of this mansion, it shall spell disaster for all those under my watch. She is nothing but a lowly servant, destined to fulfill her duties in the maids quarters. This is not a mere suggestion, but a commandment to be obeyed without question or hesitation. Abigail is only permitted to work as a maid, and she must never leave the servant quarters to enter the main house. Do I make myself clear?”

The workers obeyed their young master, each one answering “Yes Young master” in unison.

"Good. You are all dismissed."

One by one, the workers and maids exited the room, their footsteps fading away. When the last one left, silence fell upon the spacious living room, leaving only Henry and I in its grand, empty space.
