Henry's POV

It took thirty minutes to reach the beach, and once I arrived, I found myself lost in thought as I stood near the shoreline, with the water from the incoming tide gently splashing against my shoes.

“Why is this happening to me?” was a question that kept hunting my mind for the past five days. Despite the time that had passed, I was still left without an explanation that made sense to me.

I had thought that what we shared was something real but now, I knew we didn't.
