Chapter 22

His Presence

XYLON slowly approached me. Instead of running, or hiding or even moving, I was stuck from where I was, waiting for the next thing to happen.

His sight did not disappear from my eyes. Those burning, dark, coffee-brown eyes were all over my deepest soul. He was holding his shirt in his hand while I could hardly breathe. 

There was less than an inch between us. I looked up to meet his gaze. I bit the inside of my lips. It took me everything I had to stay still. Waiting on his next move. 

I saw one side of his lips twitched. Oh, I want those stubbles in my hands.

"Softy," he whispered in a hoarse voice. "So, so softy..."
