Rebecca knocked on the door of Lacey's apartment and waited for her friend to answer. When Lacey finally opened the door, Rebecca couldn't help but notice that something was off about her.

"Hey, Lace, what's going on? You've been evasive for weeks," Rebecca said, looking at Lacey with concern.

Lacey's eyes darted away from Rebecca's gaze, and she shrugged. "I've just been under the weather. There's nothing to worry about."

Rebecca didn't buy it but decided not to push the issue. "Alright, well, let's talk about my party. The backyard is looking so pretty now that it's been renewed."

Lacey's face lit up at the mention of the party. "Oh my gosh, yes! I can't wait to come over and see it. It's going to be so much fun."

Rebecca smiled, relieved that the conversation had shifted to something positive. "I'm glad you're excited. Andreas has been working really hard on it, and I've been helping with the plants."
