Rebecca closes her eyes, feeling the gentle breeze brushing over her face, and listens to the sound of the nearby creek. She takes a deep breath, savoring the fresh scent of blooming flowers mixed with the earthy fragrance of the soil. She could feel her mind slowly unwinding, as if the worries of the day were being carried away by the wind.

As she opens her eyes, she notices the sun slowly setting behind the trees, casting a warm orange light across the meadow. The colors of the flowers seem to intensify in this light, and Rebecca can't help but smile at the sight.

Rebecca knocked on the door of Lacey's apartment and waited for her friend to answer. When Lacey finally opened the door, Rebecca couldn't help but notice that something was off about her. "Hey, Lace, what's going on? You've been evasive for weeks," Rebecca said, looking at Lacey with concern. Lacey's eyes darted away from Rebecca's gaze, and she shrugged. "I've just been under the weather. There's nothing to worry about." Rebecca didn't buy it but decided not to push the issue. "Alright, well, let's talk about my party. The backyard is looking so pretty now that it's been renewed." Lacey's face lit up at the mention of the party. "Oh my gosh, yes! I can't wait to come over and see it. It's going to be so much fun." Rebecca smiled, relieved that the conversation had shifted to something positive. "I'm glad you're excited. Andreas has been working really hard on it, and I've been helping with the plants." Lacey nodded, but Rebecca could

Andreas sat next to Rebecca on the porch swing, a new addition that had made them want to sit together, talking and watching the sunset. He listened intently to Rebecca's story about Lacey and her middle school misadventures, enjoying the lighthearted moment after the heavy conversation about her horse accident. He chuckled at the memory of the troublemaker, Lacey, and asked for more stories from their past. Rebecca laughed, happy to shift the focus to happier memories. She regaled Andreas with tales of their high school years, reminiscing about the parties they went to and the pranks they pulled on each other. As they talked, they moved closer to each other, their bodies almost touching. Andreas couldn't help but think about how beautiful Rebecca was, her eyes sparkling as she laughed and her hair falling in soft waves around her face. He reached out to tuck a strand behind her ear, his hand lingering on her cheek. "Remember that horse I got you?

Andreas sat across from Sheriff Hughs in his office, worry etched deep in his features. They had been discussing John Clark and his ability to stay hidden for so long."He's got enough money to make it happen," Sheriff Hughs said, leaning back in his chair. "But what worries me is the possibility of him returning. You know what he's capable of."Andreas nodded grimly. "Rebecca's nightmares have diminished; she's sleeping better, but she's almost always looking behind her. I've noticed how she starts to have mini attacks whenever she finds herself alone. Not even Buddy has been able to keep her at ease."Sheriff Hughs sighed heavily. "I wish there was more we could do. We've had people keeping an eye out, but he's just too good at covering his tracks."Andreas clenched his jaw. "We can't let our guard down. I won't let him hurt her again."Sheriff Hughs nodded.
