After the news of me being a father, I headed back to my room. Alpha Maximus and Cullen insisted on me resting. I had asked them where Rose was; I needed to see her. But they denied my request. Both of them said it wasn’t time to visit her and it would best for me to recover. When I asked them both how long I’ve been out, they told me it’s been four days. It shocked me knowing that I was unconscious for that long.
Cullen had affirmed to me he was handling the palace. No one knew they hurt me or that something happened to Rose. There were enough rumors of Rose being dead, and one more would stir chaos in the vampire’s clan.

◼Rose POV◼ Feeling nauseated, I swing over and vomit. Sweat on my forehead and a watery nose bothered me. Why was I feeling like shit? Opening my eyes, I look for something to clean my mouth. Unfortunately, it was dark, so trying to reach for the night table, I feel a sharp pain across my rib cage. Groaning in pain, I lay back. What did the hell happen? Panting, I try to calm down. The pain was becoming unbearable and harder for me to breathe. Gripping my chest. I try to see what happened. They wrapped half of my body in bandages. Worried, I get up slowly and walk over to the bathroom. I didn’t notice where I was. The only thing on my mind was how I survive. I tried to walk straight, but the pain was too much to bear.
