◼Third Person’s POV◼
Finally, was all I could think of. I finally was awake. It’s been years since I went into slumber, and now I had awakened. I was fully recovered and ready to take revenge. First, I had to find her and kill her for everything she did.
Standing at the mansion and looking outside, I wait for him to come over and give me some good news. Then, waiting patiently, I suddenly hear a knock.
“Come in…” I whispered.
The door to the room opened and closed. It was quiet, so I waited for the person to say something.
“It seems you are accommodating to things here,” the stranger said.
“I used to live here,” I said, “Any news?”
◼Nikolas POV◼ “Will she be ok?” I asked the doctor. “Yes, she just needs to rest and cleanse her body, which the witch is helping with. So what you see is her body expelling the poison,” the doctor explained. It was my second day with Rose, and I had barely closed my eyes. After we came back from our walk. Rose started feeling sick again. She had barely eaten and could barely stay awake. It seems her body was taking a toll on her pregnancy and poison. “She will be ok, don’t worry,” the doctor assured me. Liam and Jordan stood in the corner of the bedroom talking. Liam told me that hunters had been quiet. It’s been four days, and they hav
◼Rose POV◼ Since agreeing on being Nikolas’ mate, I haven’t been able to stay away from him. Was it the pregnancy? It confused me, but I did like him. Love him? I still wasn’t sure, but I hope that maybe in the future I could? Growing with no parent’s love, it became more challenging for me to learn what love was. Even though Liam always told me how to be and what love was, it never was the same. As I grew up, my knowledge was mostly fighting strategies, power, greed, and blood. I never saw someone as a genuine lover. All I saw was a toy. A pawn in my well-planned life. Liam hated what I had become, but that’s the only escape I found. Now that I was becoming a mother made me see things differently. I won’t lie. I hated this. If I knew
◼Nikolas POV◼ It seems the hunters knew now that Rose was in Jordan’s palace. I don’t know if that hunter reported back, but Rose killed him at the right time. But that’s not what intrigued me more. What intrigued me was what the hell was happening between Jordan and Rose. Jordan has been acting kind of strange since yesterday. Rose as well. She seems to ignore him. Something was not right. We sat in silence, eating. It was kind of uncomfortable. “Could any of you explain please what is happening?” I asked, annoyed. “Nothing?” Rose answer with a question. Breathing deep, I sigh. It would be useless. Jordan sat at the head of the table, just as the owner of his palace should sit. And I w
◼Nikolas POV◼ Shifting in bed, I groan. I move my arm but felt I was all alone. Slowly, I open my eyes. The window curtains opened, and I could see the day was gloomy. Where was Rose? Siting up in bed, I recall what happened last night. Putting my head in between my legs, I sigh. But, seriously, did that happen? Looking at the bedsheets, I see it wasn’t a dream. Dried blood covers the bed. Rose got excited when she started whipping me. She began torturing me. She had to cover my eyes with a piece of cloth and even gag me. It was a weird and exciting sensation, but it didn’t turn into something pleasurable. Instead, Rose was getting excited about drawing blood from my skin. We didn’t have sex at all. All she did was drink my blood. I ha
◼Rose POV◼ Morning came, and I asked a maid to bring me a change of clothing to one of the guest rooms. Changing and feeling hungry, I head to the dining room. Liam greeted me, and we started having breakfast. “How’s the clan?” I asked. “Good, no need to worry. You should take care of your baby,” Liam said with a serious look. I knew he was still mad about last night, but did I care? Hell no. “I will return in a week or two,” I said, sipping my coffee, “And I hope to find everything in excellent conditions.” Liam glare at me. “In two weeks
◼Nikolas POV◼ “Fucking hurry!” Liam said, running next to me. I ran inhumanly fast to the palace hospital. The witch had transported herself to the hospital. I was shocked; I didn’t know what was happening. All could think of was Rose’s limp body in my arms. Rose was no longer breathing, and I was panicking. Reaching the hospital, the doctor and some nurses help me put Rose’s body in the bed. Liam grabbed me and drag me out. I try to struggle. Something in me was telling me not to leave her side. But what was it? For the last hour, I’ve been pacing the hallway. I was panicking and struggling not to cry. I had a terrible feeling. Liam quietly sea
◼Liam POV◼ “No” was all I had in my head, a simple no. I was still in denial, but I knew that I needed to take control if this happened. After hearing Rose has died, I didn’t wait long and came back to the clan. I passed the news about Rose’s death down. The entire clan mourned. Renata was out of control, just like I was two days ago. I always heard Rose speak about her death. I remember we would sit and speak about life to where she would talk about her death. I never liked when she mentioned it because she made it sound like her life was coming over soon, and this happened. Now I was the leader of the clan. I was no king but a subordinate that ruled under Rose’s reign. I had no plans
◼Nikolas POV◼ I walk unconsciously towards her bedroom. I was so lost in my thoughts that everything around me was a blur. I kept walking, ignoring everyone. Their glares were full of pity and sadness. I should cry. I was. I just couldn’t, and I don’t know why. I had stopped crying a day before. It felt like I had emptied myself. Just someone roaming this earth for no reason at all. Was that strange? A hollow feeling in my chest felt like I was dead. I’ve been wishing all this was a nightmare, one I would wake up and see my love sleeping in my arms. Opening the door slowly, I walk in and shut it.

Rose POV I stood watching the men trained. My belly felt heavy. I was nine months pregnant. I was going to give birth soon. So for the last month, I’ve been stressed for the sole reason that Nikolas was not serious about our kid. The one-year-old prince was making a ruckus around the palace every day. Nikolas found it funny, but I find it undisciplined. Nikolas keeps saying I’m overreacting, but he was our heir, our prince. So he needed to learn how to behave well. My brother Eden says he’s still tiny and that I’m dramatic, but I want our future king to be better than us. Hearing a cheerful voice, I turn around and find Liam carrying the prince.
Nikolas POVAfter we returned to the party, both Rose and I had a tremendous surprise. Everyone present on the ball was bowing to us. Rose and I didn’t understand what was happening, but once the Prince of Asia came forward and said what was happening. Both Rose and I were speechless.Everyone knew we got marked, but I never expected that the Prince of Asia had planned all this. With a sigh, I saw Rose stand next to the prince and introduce him.Rose looked too familiar with him. Taking a seat at a table, Rose explained what had happened.“Before coming over, Prince Novak asked me for a favor,” Rose said.“What would that be?” I asked, intrigued.
◼Rose◼ Realizing what he just said, I blush. Nikolas was smiling at me in a way I’ve never seen before. Then, walking over to me, he grabs my hand and pulls me away. I didn’t turn to look at anyone. We walked for a while before Nikolas finally stopped. Slamming me against the wall, he hits his hand, making me flinch. Kissing me roughly, I try to push him. But it was so overwhelming that I gave in. My arms circled around his neck. Kissing him passionately back, I let him take control. That electric feeling spreading across my body. How have I missed his touch? Slowly, he leaned his body against mine. Making me moan. I could feel how horny he was. He wanted me just like I wanted him right now. But there was no time for this. Moving my fa
◼Rose◼A few days ago, I passed out because Nikolas's letter overwhelmed me. Liam and Eden were worried for me. It hurt, and I haven’t stopped crying. They tried talking with me, but I asked them to leave me alone. Now I had gone and visited the Asian Clan. I needed a distraction. To be away from here. So, preparing my bags, I ask Renata to join me on the trip. Liam tried to argue with me, but I scolded him. I didn’t want to hear anything from them.As we departed from our long trip, I kept thinking about the letter and his words. He was married. He quickly forgot about me. How naïve I thought that maybe time would make me accept him once again.Throughout the flight, I was silent. Renata tried to make conversation, but I
◼Nikolas◼Three years ago…I watch her leave like that. A coward was the only thought I had in mind.I fist my hands in anger. I wanted to stop her, to see her turn around and beg for forgiveness. But, instead, she did nothing. She just walks away.Heading back to the car, I remove the crown from my head and watch as we finally leave. That bastard’s body was disposed of. Making sure we left no trace of him.All the way back home, I felt the need to turn back and head to Rose clans. But just thinking about seeing her pissed me. I should have taught her a lesson. Frustration, I look at the crown and throw it against the seat. I hated it. Why did she
◼Rose POV◼ Three years later… “Let’s get our new recruits ready and have them trained in three months,” Liam ordered. “No way. What about the other?” Renata argued. “I said no, they have their duty. Also, they are to be sent to Jordan,” Liam continues saying, “Plus, remember he asked for the first, so don’t bargain with me.” Sighing, I stand up and grab a sword. Walking over to the new recruit, I explain what we will do. Renata and Liam continue arguing, ignoring me altogether. Practicing the sword has become one of my new hobbies. The movement that I require has been a help to my injured leg. Even though I stil
◼Rose POV◼ Somehow I had fallen asleep on the way. Feeling someone shaking me, I open my eyes and see my brother carrying me out of the car. I felt tired, the pain in the leg unbearable. So I let myself fall asleep in my brother’s arm. Reaching the bedroom, I feel my brother laid me down in bed. Let the tiredness take over. I fall asleep. My body was finally aching; I could feel my leg hurting a lot. I didn’t want to move. So, I decided it was best to rest. The following day, I woke up to the brightness of the sun. Sitting up in bed, I look at the mountains. It was a beautiful day. But, I felt something was different. Something had changed. A knock on the door distracts me from my thoughts. Letting the person in, I see my brother
◼Rose POV◼This was news to me. I was a being that held all the traits and qualities of our creators.“You know what’s worse. My own brothers didn’t wish to kill you. They had this stupid idea you would be what we needed, well too bad because I don’t need someone like you,” the bastard said.I was in shock. Was all this true? Or where this lies?“Lies, right?” I asked with my head lowered.“Lies? I wish, but it’s not,” the bastard said.I started laughing out loud. But, my goddess, was all this true then?“What the fuck are you la
