The moment Tammy leaned in for a kiss, Curtis leaned away with a stern expression.

He gazed at her and inquired, "Can you see now?"

Feeling flustered, she quickly replied with a guilty conscience, "No, I can't."

"If you can't, then don't move around. Just stay here. I'm going to change into something more comfortable."

With that, he got up and left her behind, taking big strides as he ascended the stairs.

Inside the room, Margot, in a fit of anger, threw a pillow onto the floor. She stomped on it a couple of times to release her frustration.

Curtis' attitude just now was quite perplexing. He seemed to enjoy Tammy leaning on him.

He had claimed that he accommodated Tammy to make amends for the harm she had suffered.

From Margot's perspective, it seemed like perhaps even he couldn't resist the temptation of a beautiful woman.

It appeared that men were all the same—whenever a woman made the first move, they wouldn't refuse.

Margot felt a surge of anger and stomped on the pillow
