[Seraphine's POV]

Unbeknownst to me, at some point, my body was filled with cold sweat as I forced myself to search for useful memories in this place. My breath was ragged, and my head throbbed. And despite all that, I still hadn't found anything.

"It's pointless. There are no important memories here." Finally, I surrendered and ended my vision.

With a staggering body, I remained standing here, pondering where else I could search. This was the only place where I could extract information, considering the few clues we had.

"Wait. I think I saw the first person infected with the virus being buried here. Is that true?" Just before I turned around and left, my memory shifted to a voice from my vision that mentioned something in this place.

Hastily, I immediately searched for the mentioned grave. It was difficult since this place was almost leveled with the ground. I rummaged through the debris of burnt houses for quite some time to find traces of a grave.

[Seraphine's POV]"Who ... What is your name?" I finally asked the figure of Alpha, who stood silently in front of me.As the light illuminated the room, we could finally look into each other's eyes. I was certain now, the Alpha standing before me was the one who spread the deadly virus in Silverbrook Haven village. However, his face was so damaged. With the bright lighting, I could see how he had lost the skin on his face. It looked as if he had undergone surgery that peeled off his entire face.‘But why am I so sure that he is the Alpha who has been appearing in my visions? Is it because we share the same power?’ I wondered to myself."So, you're the Alpha who has been targeting me?" I said to him. "Have you been luring me to this village so you could kidnap me?"He remained silent. With his eyes as dark as the night, he looked at me with a piercing gaze. His face was as cold as his dark, cold hair."Let me tell you one thing, dear Alpha. Don't involve Cassian in this. This is betwe

[Seraphine's POV]"Alright." I decided to comply with his words after thinking for a long time. If I could guess correctly, this mysterious Alpha was not the type to keep a cool head.He was not like Cassian; he would not hesitate to hurt me if my words crossed his patience. I had to be careful from now on."So, what kind of opponent are you talking about?" I asked. I lowered my position slightly to make him loosen his guard. All for the sake of making sure he knew I wasn't in a rebellious mode here."You have fighting power, don't you? Use it to fight against me. Right here, right now. But remember one thing, I won't forgive your actions if you dare to look into my mind."This was the second time he warned me about not using mind-reading abilities. It seemed like he intentionally stressed me out by tapping his foot on the floor, creating a loud noise. And the sound of that tapping made me even more aware that this room was silent, with only the two of us remaining. I was helpless bec

[Seraphine's POV]*Boom! Boom! Boom!*I no longer cared about my condition or the baby. I unleashed a series of attacks, causing the ground and the surrounding trees to be destroyed by my power. That Alpha, surprisingly, was able to fly in the sky. He wasn't a user of space and time manipulation like me, who could control the dimensions of the world. I also noticed that he was a user of lightning elements. He shouldn't be able to fly in the sky so effortlessly. Because of that, none of my attacks ever hit their mark.I was just wasting my energy here."What's the matter, Seraphine? Tired already? Where did your fighting spirit go?" He descended and floated right in front of me. Seeing me visibly exhausted, I witnessed how he grinned smugly with an infuriating laugh."You ... Where did you get all that power? No matter how powerful an Alpha is, they shouldn't be able to use multiple elements simultaneously," I said to him as he continued to gaze at my condition."Hm. Are you curious?"

[Seraphine's POV]I continued listening to him explain a negotiation that I didn't understand. Wasn't he the one who initially wanted both of us to fight until one of us fell as the winner?‘Why is he now being unstable and offering negotiations?’ I wondered with confusion. I still felt uncomfortable with the flap of his wings, which could easily bring down trees in the forest."What else do you want to negotiate?" I asked, feeling partly tired. I rubbed my eyes, which had felt heavy and sleepy for who knows how long."Come with me and leave Cassian," he said.My hands, which were busy giving my sleepy eyes a chance to open, suddenly stopped. I lifted my face to face him, soaring in the air like a bird set free. And I threw back at him with furrowed brows. "What did you say? Go with you? Do you think I'm crazy?""No," he answered with a serious expression. "I mean what I say. Just because you live with Cassian doesn't mean you'll be happy. You know that. So why don't you come with me?

[Seraphine's POV]"She's not alone."I immediately turned my head at the unexpected arrival of a voice. Both of my iridescent blue eyes sparkled, welcoming the presence of a figure I never expected to see. Cassian. Somehow, he was already standing next to me."Seraphine, maybe I can't fight you alone. But she's not alone now. I will help her until we can tear your body apart," he said. Not just me, even the mysterious Alpha was shocked by Cassian's arrival. His face turned deep red, and he growled with clenched teeth in anger. From a distance, I could see his eyes glaring sharply like fire in the darkness."You. How did you break through my defense barrier?" That Alpha asked. His voice became hoarse, and the wind around us suddenly roared in response to his anger.Cassian kept his gaze fixed on That Alpha, who flew above us. I was standing beside him, enjoying the breeze from the giant wings that brushed against Cassian's golden hair.It was gentle and so beautiful. The cold red gaze

I didn't want to faint and endanger my baby again. As long as he was in my womb, I had brought him to the brink of death multiple times.‘Alright. Leave everything to me, Seraphine. He stood there, his eyes gleaming with malevolence, a cruel reminder of the pain he had inflicted upon us. The scars of his past atrocities marred his features, a testament to the darkness that resided within his soul. "Dorian," I hissed his name, my voice laced with a lethal combination of anger and sorrow. "You think you can destroy us, manipulate time to suit your sinister desires? You've taken Cassian from me twice, but I won't let you succeed again." His laughter echoed through the chaos of battle, a chilling sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, Seraphine, you're as predictable as ever. Your love for Cassian blinds you to the true power I wield. I've seen the depths of your despair, tasted the bitterness of your failures. [POV Seraphine] Battle had left me drained, my energy reserves depleted, and my magic waning. I stood amidst the aftermath of the fierce conflict, my chest heaving with exhaustion. The tendrils of my spatial and temporal magic slowly dissipated into the night, leaving me feeling vulnerable and exposed. Jesse, too, looked weary, but his presence remained a comforting anchor amidst the chaos. I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for his timely intervention and unwavering support. Together, we had managed to overcome the sorceress's malevolent power, but the cost had been high. I gazed at the sorceress, now defeated and powerless. Her once formidable demeanor had crumbled, and she lay on the ground, breathing heavily, but devoid of the dark energy that had fueled her. The threat she posed had finally been extinguished. However, the victory did little to alleviate the exhaustion that weighed on my shoulders. The relentless battles, the emotional turmoil, and the imm

[POV Seraphine] A sense of reluctant acceptance settled within me as I acknowledged Jesse's presence and the need for an unexpected alliance. We stood together, united by the urgency of our mission. "Alright, Jesse," I said, my voice firm. "Let's work together. But we need a plan, something that can help us defeat the sorceress quickly before she can cause more harm." Jesse nodded in agreement, his eyes sharp with focus. "I have a suggestion," he began, his tone steady. "The sorceress draws her power from darkness and chaos. If we can disrupt her connection to that source, we might weaken her enough to strike a decisive blow." I considered his words, the logic in his strategy apparent. "But how do we disrupt her connection to darkness?" I asked, my mind racing to find a solution. Jesse's lips curved into a thoughtful smile. "I've encountered similar situations in the past. There's a ritual, a powerful one, that can sever a sorcerer's link to their source of power. It requires pre

Both the sorceress and I stiffened, our eyes widening in shared astonishment. A powerful aura emanated from the figure approaching, an aura tinged with an ancient, primal energy. "Who ... who are you?" I managed to choke out, my voice barely audible. The words hung heavy in the charged atmosphere, but the mysterious alpha remained silent, their identity shrouded in an enigmatic silence. The sorceress, too, seemed taken aback, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. "Another interruption?" she sneered, her confidence momentarily shaken. "Do you think a mere alpha can change the course of this battle?" The mysterious alpha's silence was deafening. Their presence alone seemed to shift the very essence of the forest around us, commanding attention and respect without uttering a single word.
