[Seraphine's POV]

"She's not alone."

I immediately turned my head at the unexpected arrival of a voice.

Both of my iridescent blue eyes sparkled, welcoming the presence of a figure I never expected to see. Cassian. Somehow, he was already standing next to me.

"Seraphine, maybe I can't fight you alone. But she's not alone now. I will help her until we can tear your body apart," he said.

Not just me, even the mysterious Alpha was shocked by Cassian's arrival. His face turned deep red, and he growled with clenched teeth in anger. From a distance, I could see his eyes glaring sharply like fire in the darkness.

"You. How did you break through my defense barrier?" That Alpha asked. His voice became hoarse, and the wind around us suddenly roared in response to his anger.

Cassian kept his gaze fixed on That Alpha, who flew above us. I was standing beside him, enjoying the breeze from the giant wings that brushed against Cassian's golden hair.

It was gentle and so beautiful. The cold red gaze

[Seraphine's POV]Initially, I didn't understand why Cassian insisted on bringing me all the way here. Considering the distance between the battle location and where I was, it was kilometers away. With such a long distance, I had doubts about the success of our plan. I had never before attempted to control my powers from such a far distance. And then, I realized why Cassian had chosen such a distant place for me because...*BOOM!!!!!!**BOOM!!!!!!**BOOM!!!!!!*The explosion he generated from his power was incredibly massive.*gulp*Even from this distance, I could still see how towering the explosion was, almost reaching the sky.*BOOM!*The explosion Cassian created was so enormous that it destroyed several mountains nearby. [Seraphine's POV]Cassian started to try to wake me up by continuing to speak and shaking my body.As for myself ... I wasn't oblivious to what Cassian was doing beside me. However, I couldn't give up so easily. We had just risked our lives to defeat this mysterious Alpha. Would all our efforts go to waste because of a trap?‘No, I can endure this heat for longer. If it's just a manipulation of someone's power, I shouldn't have any physical injuries.’ I tried to strengthen myself in this difficult situation."I ... I saw a letter." My mouth started to babble on its own as I managed to uncover at least a bit of the mysterious Alpha's memories."Cassian ... Does any member of your family have black hair?""What?" Cassian replied with surprise. "Of course, there are. For example, one of Dominnick's children—""No," I immediately interrupted him. "I mean, the main family. From the main bloodline that is also one of the candidates for the future king.""The future king ..." I could feel Ca

[Seraphine's POV]All the servants looked at me with fearful expressions. Perhaps, they couldn't imagine that I, as Cassian's future wife, could be so emotionally volatile even while still inside the palace. My anger was justified. Since I disappeared, kidnapped by that mysterious Alpha, a hundred deaths have occurred in the village of Silverbrook Haven due to that deadly virus!"If the entire population of your village has already perished because of the virus, then my efforts to find the culprit are in vain," I said."Not in vain," Cassian replied after a long silence. "If you manage to find the perpetrator, you can be considered a world savior. Thanks to you, the virus didn't spread throughout Eldoria."My jaw tightened upon hearing his excuse. "Oh, so Prince Cassian is now normalizing the deaths of his people? Is that it?""I'm not normalizing," Cassian responded, still trying to remain calm, although I was provoking him."My decision to follow you to your village was the right th

[Seraphine's POV]"During those two months, many strange things happened. Cassian was suddenly attacked by a group of unknown Alphas, there was a war, and a hundred residents of Silverbrook Haven died because of the virus. The series of strange events made us think that they all originated from the same culprit."Queen Veronica continued to listen to my explanation attentively. She remained in her position, sitting silently without saying anything. I felt a bit awkward, wondering if she didn't like my explanation. But I decided to keep talking until she finally spoke up."That's why, Your Majesty. Cassian and I are here to ask for your help," I said again."What kind of help do you need?" Queen Veronica finally responded. Although she didn't appear surprised by anything, regardless of my somewhat shocking revelations."We brought the body of the mysterious Alpha who fought against us last night," I replied, occasionally glancing at Cassian's face for courage. [Seraphine's POV]Perhaps my face looked so terrible in front of him this time. Pale, trembling with fear, and running out of words. Veronica didn't need any knife to break my heart; her gaze was sharp enough to flay me alive. With every blink of her eyes, I felt my courage being thrown out the window."Cassian ... I don't know anything about this baby," I said. It took great courage for me to utter this sentence without feeling choked."And what is Cassian's child then?" She asked again. Now, her gaze pierced deeper into my heart like a dagger.I nodded briefly, sweat pouring down my forehead. "This is Cassian's child.""Are you sure? Could it be that the child is the Alpha's child in this glass case?""W-what?" I was extremely surprised to hear that. "Of course not, Your Majesty. I have never slept with anyone other than Cassian."I could sense her disbelief from the expression on Queen Veronica's beautiful face. The scars of his past atrocities marred his features, a testament to the darkness that resided within his soul. "Dorian," I hissed his name, my voice laced with a lethal combination of anger and sorrow. "You think you can destroy us, manipulate time to suit your sinister desires? You've taken Cassian from me twice, but I won't let you succeed again." His laughter echoed through the chaos of battle, a chilling sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, Seraphine, you're as predictable as ever. Your love for Cassian blinds you to the true power I wield. I've seen the depths of your despair, tasted the bitterness of your failures. The tendrils of my spatial and temporal magic slowly dissipated into the night, leaving me feeling vulnerable and exposed. Jesse, too, looked weary, but his presence remained a comforting anchor amidst the chaos. I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for his timely intervention and unwavering support. Together, we had managed to overcome the sorceress's malevolent power, but the cost had been high. I gazed at the sorceress, now defeated and powerless. Her once formidable demeanor had crumbled, and she lay on the ground, breathing heavily, but devoid of the dark energy that had fueled her. The threat she posed had finally been extinguished. However, the victory did little to alleviate the exhaustion that weighed on my shoulders. The relentless battles, the emotional turmoil, and the imm

[POV Seraphine] A sense of reluctant acceptance settled within me as I acknowledged Jesse's presence and the need for an unexpected alliance. We stood together, united by the urgency of our mission. "Alright, Jesse," I said, my voice firm. "Let's work together. But we need a plan, something that can help us defeat the sorceress quickly before she can cause more harm." Jesse nodded in agreement, his eyes sharp with focus. "I have a suggestion," he began, his tone steady. "The sorceress draws her power from darkness and chaos. If we can disrupt her connection to that source, we might weaken her enough to strike a decisive blow." I considered his words, the logic in his strategy apparent. "But how do we disrupt her connection to darkness?" I asked, my mind racing to find a solution. Jesse's lips curved into a thoughtful smile. "I've encountered similar situations in the past. There's a ritual, a powerful one, that can sever a sorcerer's link to their source of power. It requires pre

Both the sorceress and I stiffened, our eyes widening in shared astonishment. A powerful aura emanated from the figure approaching, an aura tinged with an ancient, primal energy. "Who ... who are you?" I managed to choke out, my voice barely audible. The words hung heavy in the charged atmosphere, but the mysterious alpha remained silent, their identity shrouded in an enigmatic silence. The sorceress, too, seemed taken aback, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. "Another interruption?" she sneered, her confidence momentarily shaken. "Do you think a mere alpha can change the course of this battle?" The mysterious alpha's silence was deafening. Their presence alone seemed to shift the very essence of the forest around us, commanding attention and respect without uttering a single word.
