"He is ..."

The aide was confused. I didn't need to wait for his answer anymore because the Alpha man who was looking for me had arrived.

"You? What are you doing here?"

The Alpha who visited me turned out to be Lysander Derrick. He was a conglomerate Alpha whom I met at the market earlier. I still remember his fierce face when he offered ten million gold coins to buy me.

"Ugh," I grumbled irritably in my heart.

It wasn't enough that I had a lousy day after signing a marriage contract with Cassian, and now Lysander came to approach me as well.

I didn't need my powers to know why Lysander came to this village. He wanted to make me his slave.

"If Cassian finds out you're here, he and his pack will beat you to a pulp," I said to the smiling Lysander, as he approached me. He was wearing the same clothes I saw him wearing at the market.

Which meant that Lysander had intentionally followed me here.

"Seraphine Valentina, let me warn you about one thing. Cassian is an evil man. A pure-hearted girl like you is not worthy of being with him."

I almost laughed at his words. He spoke as if he were far better than Cassian.

Cassian might be a psychopath, but at least he knew where my parents were. Cassian played a crucial role in my life, even though I hated him.

"I have nothing to do with you." I walked away, leaving Lysander still there, trying to call me from behind.

"Seraphine! If you become my mate partner, I will ensure your happiness!" he shouted as he chased me.

"Ha ..." I sighed in pain.

Then I used my powers to look into the future. If I left Cassian's residence and became Lysander's mate partner, what would happen?

[Lysander will rape you repeatedly]

[You will be treated like livestock]

[He will force you to become pregnant multiple times and give birth to many children]

[He will showcase your body to other Alpha colonies]

Wow. I was shocked to see my future with Lysander.

Thanks to my powers, I took a step forward in leaving that brown-haired Alpha behind.

"Lysander. If you don't want your head to be chopped off by Cassian, you better stay away from me. I am now Cassian's mate partner. You can't just meet me whenever you want."

"What!? You mated with Cassian!? No Way!" Lysander was deeply affected by my words.

It seemed he had hoped to take me away from this village.

Too bad, Lysander. You're just another Alpha who sought my powers for your success. Unfortunately, Cassian managed to claim me first because he successfully threatened me.

"Seraphine. You must come with me now. If not, I will paralyze you with my powers."

I was taken aback. It turned out Lysander was one of the Alphas with magical abilities. Then I saw him transform into a wolf-like creature behind me, with lightning crackling from his body.

‘Oh no. I have to go quickly. Lysander seems serious to kidnap me here,’ I said to myself.

I ran as fast as I could. I wanted to read Lysander's thoughts to know his moves, but my energy was not enough. So, I could only run through this village and into the forest.

"Ugh!"

I made a careless step. I stumbled on rocky ground and fell hard.

Just moments ago, Cassian had healed my body. Fortunately, I saw that Lysander hadn't caught up with me yet. I crawled and hid behind the bushes.

‘Damn it. Today is such an unlucky day.’

I tried to stay silent and concealed so that Lysander wouldn't know I was hiding.

The situation worsened as the day grew darker, and I could witness the rising full moon.

‘Oh no. Tonight is the mating season for the Alpha. If I stay here, Lysander might rape me!’

I just remembered. When I read Cassian's thoughts earlier, I learned that tonight is the mating night for the Alpha ranks. My attempt to escape from Cassian ended up being a chase with Lysander in this forest.

It seems bad luck continues to haunt me, even though I'm now an adult.

"Seraphine?"

And ... guess what I found.

"C-Cassian?"

Facing away from the full moon, with his body barely covered in thin clothing, I saw the very existence of Cassian Maximilian in this forest. The sky was dark, and his golden irises shone like fire. His hair, like silk threads, danced in the cold night breeze.

And that was the first time I witnessed how strong and handsome Leader Cassian Maximilian was. If there was someone who could describe the perfect physique of an Alpha, Cassian would be the model.

"What are you doing here?" Cassian asked after finding me sitting behind the bushes, with dirty clothes.

"I fell," I gave a casual answer. I turned my face away from him. I didn't want to get caught blushing, seeing how handsome Cassian looked tonight.

"Fell? Where is the attendant who was with you? He should have helped you here."

I remained silent in response to Cassian's bewildered question. There was no way I could answer that I was hiding from an Alpha named Lysander Derrick, right?

If Cassian knew I had almost been abducted by Lysander, this forest might be consumed by their battle.

“I’m alone here. You don’t have to worry, Cassia—“

"Seraphine! You have to come with me now!"

I was done.

Just when I prayed in my heart, hoping Lysander wouldn't come here while Cassian was still by my side, that stupid Alpha suddenly shouted my name so loudly.

Of course, Cassian was shocked and infuriated. He found out that I was being chased by another Alpha without his knowledge.

"You ... Are you cheating on me?" Cassian immediately interrogated me with suspicion, pointing at me.

I instantly broke out in a cold sweat, feeling the dominant aura from Cassian's strong presence.

It was as if Cassian could devour me at any moment.

"I'm not cheating!" I replied with a hint of annoyance. "Lysander came here and attacked me. If I were cheating, I would have left with him and wouldn't be here."

Fortunately, Cassian believed my words.

I saw Cassian tuck two of his fingers into his mouth, then he whistled so loudly that his voice spread throughout the forest.

Soon after, a group of white-furred wolves approached us. The eyes of the wolves were golden, just like Cassian's. I immediately knew they were the magical creatures that Cassian kept as guardians.

"You guys, take Seraphine away from here," Cassian commanded the five wolves. "I will deal with Lysander right away."

"What? No!" I panicked instantly upon hearing that. "Are you going to start a fight here? It's already dark! And you're about to enter the total full moon period! Alphas are not allowed to use their powers during that time!"

'Because you could die, stupid.' I continued in my thoughts.

He stood there, his eyes gleaming with malevolence, a cruel reminder of the pain he had inflicted upon us. The scars of his past atrocities marred his features, a testament to the darkness that resided within his soul. "Dorian," I hissed his name, my voice laced with a lethal combination of anger and sorrow. "You think you can destroy us, manipulate time to suit your sinister desires? You've taken Cassian from me twice, but I won't let you succeed again." His laughter echoed through the chaos of battle, a chilling sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, Seraphine, you're as predictable as ever. Your love for Cassian blinds you to the true power I wield. I've seen the depths of your despair, tasted the bitterness of your failures. You're nothing but a pawn in this grand design." The mere mention of my failures fueled the fire within me. Determination replac

[POV Seraphine] Battle had left me drained, my energy reserves depleted, and my magic waning. I stood amidst the aftermath of the fierce conflict, my chest heaving with exhaustion. The tendrils of my spatial and temporal magic slowly dissipated into the night, leaving me feeling vulnerable and exposed. Jesse, too, looked weary, but his presence remained a comforting anchor amidst the chaos. I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for his timely intervention and unwavering support. Together, we had managed to overcome the sorceress's malevolent power, but the cost had been high. I gazed at the sorceress, now defeated and powerless. However, the victory did little to alleviate the exhaustion that weighed on my shoulders. The relentless battles, the emotional turmoil, and the imm
