Chapter 97

Bennett's point of view:

Bennett was in the hotel gym when he got Theo's call. He got up from doing the bench presses and picked up his phone.

Bennett picked up Theo's call and said, "What's up?"

Theo was breathing heavily, he was clearly panicking. "You gotta come down to St. Xavier's hospital right now. It's Eden, she's done something to herself, I don't know what happened. Just come fast."

Bennett didn't say anything else and ran out of the gym and straight outside. He didn't have time to call his driver so he just hailed a cab. He tried to maintain calm but the heartbeat in his chest was going too fast for him to stay calm. He kept urging the driver to drive faster, but the traffic kept getting in the way.

As Bennett sat in the backseat, he couldn't help but think that this was somehow his fault. By trying to push Eden away for her own good, he may have pushed her too far. He never knew that she could be this sensitive. He realized there could be another reason too. As he tried
