"She's awake!" Those were the first two words Shelly heard the moment she regained consciousness. Prying her eyes open and shutting it immediately, cursing under her breath and shielding her eyes from the bright light coming from the window she groaned. Trying again, she pried her eyes open and saw curious faces staring at her.
It was Kiara and Cindy?
"Cindy?" She eyed her curiously.
"You're alive, Shelly!" Cindy exclaimed excitedly and engulfed her in a hug.
"Ow!" Shelly exclaimed. "C... can't b...b...reth."
"I'm sorry," Cindy laughed before pulling away from her.
"What is happening here?" Shelly directed her question to Kiara.
"Uhm... You fainted and we brought you back home," Kiara explained.
"Fainted? Where is home?" Shelly questioned curiously looking very confused.
Aggravated she stood up from the fluffy--- wait her bed wasn't fluffy it was a bunk bed but this one was a queen si
Chapter Sixteen"I promise you guys I'm damn serious these are the same cast that were in that movie."Kiara and Cindy just stared at her and then burst out laughing so hard they were already rolling on the bed.Shelly gave a frustrated growl. She had spent thirty freaking minutes convincing these dunces that the movie Nerdy Glasses was real and after surfing YouTube they didn't find the movie instead found the same people who starred in Nerdy Glasses starring in another movie titled KARMA and they had watched it yet it was nothing like the Nerdy Glasses she'd watched with her friends. Now they thought she was hallucinating or worse still___"Could have told us you wanted to direct a nerdy movie," Cindy chortled.___That, Shelly thought as she stared at her friends still laughing."I'm not directing any movie, Cindy." She snapped."Sure," Kiara drawled sarcastically."I thought tonight is girls night out?" S
Chapter SeventeenSwearing under her breath, Shelly stared at Cindy muttering gibberish nerdy words to Kiara and they were both playing a game on their phone."Ace the fucking game or you're a pussy, Kiara." Cindy's words were slurred and she's swearing which really showed just how drunk she was, Shelly mused as Chase winced."Honey, could you reduce the swearing?" Chase smiled at her while keeping his eyes on the road."Ok daddy. You're grumpy pants anyways." Cindy snickered giving a full pout.Shelly stifled her laughter. "Daddy?""You can laugh, Shelly. I guess I deserve that." He said."Uh huh," Shelly quirked a brow at him, "why?""Well... we're home now." Chase parked the car and got out before she had a chance to question him further. Surprised by his actions, Shelly led her friends out of the car and into the house. After making sure they were sleeping soundly, she went in search of Chase. She found him discuss
Chapter EighteenAny moment now she'd feel an impact with the cold hard floor and her life would be over before her eyes. But she never felt the impact. Why was she not falling?"Hold on tight," she heard Chase smooth voice and pried her eyes open. She saw he was holding her wrist tightly."Oh my gosh! You caught me!!" She exclaimed nervously."Just don't look down," Chase grunted as he tried pulling her."Oh sure, I could do that," she laughed, "it'd be like those crazy stunt in movies.""I assure you this is very real, Shelly." Sweat was running down his brows by now. He had no idea that she weighed so much. How possible was that considering she was thin."You know I was going to test my theory. I mean it's possible that I may not have died if I slipped down right now.""Indeed," Chase huffed pulling her upwards. She grabbed unto the railings and was in her balcony immediately."Yeah," She c
Chapter Nineteen"Honey this isn't necessary!" Roy Champman gave a startled cry.Shelly rolled her eyes smirking as her parents bickered like little children. The bone of contention between them right now was who would walk her mom down the aisle during Cindy's wedding. Her father said he had an important board meeting so he won't meet up in time to walk her down the aisle so she should just wait for him. But mom had other plans which included that she must walk down the aisle with or without her husband."Why you won't be able to meet up in time for the procession," mom gave him an innocent look.Roy gave her a blank stare. "That doesn't mean you should walk in with a random stranger.""But it's not a random stranger," mom pouted, "it's one of the guys that will be around when the procession starts.""What makes you think one of those random guys won't have someone walking in with them?" He eyed her curiously."Duh! No
Chapter TwentySmiling so widely, Shelly sat down on the chair that Ace pulled out for her. He sat down on his own seat and clapped his hands twice. A butler stepped out and served them red sparkling wine. He left immediately."Where did he come from?" She asked him referring to the butler that was already gone.Ace smirked mischievously. "Take a wild guess, honey."Shelly groaned. "Don't be like that. He couldn't possibly have come from the cliff.""You never can tell," he winked at her.Shelly ignored him pouring as she took a sip of the red sparkling wine in her glass. It had a velvet taste in her tongue and it was amazing."Mmmh," she moaned savoring the wine. "This is a lovely wine.""Yeah," Ace agreed smiling then added after awhile, "I'm sure you're wondering why I'm out with you."Shelly gulped nervously. "I guess so.""I like you, Shelly," he caressed her palm, "the moment I saw you in that
Chapter Twenty One "Spill your guts or I will destroy you!"Shelly and Kiara stared open mouthed at Cindy as she gave them a bank stare."Tune down the enthusiastic vibe, Shelly." Kiara glared at her.Cindy raised her hands in mock surrender, "I'm sorry just trying to vibe with you guys."Shelly laughed. "Try vibing without threatening me."Cindy smiled. "I'm sorry I'm just so excited for you."Kiara smirked, "yeah, this is the first guy she has taken an interest in.""Oh shut up!" Shelly rolled her eyes giggling."Oh my gee!" Kiara exclaimed dramatically, "Shelly Champman freaking giggled and is blushing. Who is responsible for this sudden change?!"Shelly laughed as she stared at her friends. It's not been up to twenty four hours since she got back from her date with Ace and her friends were determined to kill her with questionings."Quit being a drama queen. You're seeking for way too much attention." Shelly lightly slapped Kiara's arm."I would support you right now Shelly but Kia
"I give up!" Shelly exclaimed slumping on the carpet grass outside the balcony. She was breathing very fast and gasping for air. She'd been running so hard, away from her friends for the past couple of minutes? She had lost track of time already.Kiara and Cindy ran towards her then slumped down on the grass beside her breathing heavily. That didn't deterr them from playfully smacking her arm."Ow!" Shelly exclaimed pouting at Kiara, "what was that for?""That's for almost giving me a heart attack," Kiara smirked."But I saved your ass from Cindy's boring lectur___" that earned her another smack, "___ow! Interesting class"Cindy smirked at her sticking at her tongue childishly."I hate you guys!" Shelly pouted."We love you too!" They replied laughing. They laid down there on the grass foe awhile not saying anything but staying in a peaceful silence and thinking about lots of things on their mind.Cindy thought about how she fell
Chapter Twenty ThreeShelly groaned and stretched herself on her soft___wait this bed isn't soft? Eyes flying open instantly, Shelly sat up on her bed and realized she was back."I'm really starting to get tired of all these things!" She groaned sitting up on the bunk bed and locating her glasses on the night stand, she placed it on the bridge of her nose and saw everything clearly. The room was just as she had remembered it and though she was glad to be back here, away from Kiara and Cindy's tormenting faces she still felt a pang for not being able to stay there till the wedding day."I mean it's not real but it still looks real," she giggled talking to herself, "it's not as if I would get a chance to see them wed. But truth be told, would I really be okay with both of them getting married real life? Which is real life 'cause I don't know anymore next thing I'll know I'll be thrown into another dimension. Could it be that I'm dead?"

Chapter Eighty-NineRoy Champman paced up and down in the police station waiting to make a statement and get a police officer to take back to his house so whoever it was that attacked his wife could be arrested. He couldn't help but be scared and think about what could have possibly happened to her. He was so scared he didn't notice the woman that walked in with a young boy till she tapped him softly on the shoulders."Roy Champman?"He heard the soft timid voice as he turned around and saw the face of a woman that was once beautiful except for the fact that her face had a large scar that ran from her right eye through her left cheek. She was almost blinded by the scar but somehow the scar hadn't affected her eyes. With her short black curls and brown eyes, she looked oddly familiar. On a closer look, she saw signs of struggle as the chair—recliner seat—which her mom sits on to relax what turned upside down. She saw a scrap of her mom's favorite gown on the ground—she had bought the dress for her—lying close to the front door, her heart skipped a beat as she realized that maybe there was a pervert in their house.Fear gripping her heart, she stepped out of the house and went outside to see if there was any weapon she could at least arm herself with. Her stupid phone beeped and she hurriedly muted it before r

She grabbed her phone and dialed Shelly number then when she didn't pick up, she dialed her husband's number. He picked on the second ring."Hello, beautiful," her husband's voice sounded in her ears. She smiled so happily."Hey, honey. What's the reason for your happy voice?""The fact that you called me," he replied. She could hear the grin from his voice."Awww, you're so sweet. I miss you, come back soon okay." He promised he would be back soon and she hanged up.She massaged her temples feeling a slight headache, she dialed the staff number but remembered they were asked to go on a vacation.Sighing softly, she stood up to get the pills her doctor recommended for her from her room."Oh, look who's heavy again!"A startled scream left her mouth when she whirled around and s
Chapter Eighty-SixWhat comes to your mind when you are being taken to go see your in-laws? Bonding?Well, turns out Kiara's in-laws aren't so big on bonding together with their daughter-in-law specifically Kiara."Why do you think you are the perfect woman for my son?"The sharp voice of Ed pulled Shelly from her thoughts. He was staring intently at Kiara and just as her friend opened her mouth to respond a gruff voice cut them off."I believe that question should be directed to your son!"Shelly and the others whirled around towards the direction of the voice and saw a maid scurrying away quickly while two people stepped into the sitting room. One aura was as dominating and intimidating as the other that is Kiara's father—she knew that by the smirk and smile on her face—and Adam's father had the same aura and personality, while Kiara's mom and Adam's mom were Adam's mom had a cold exterior, Kiara's mom had

His hard voice was heard again as he stood in front of them.Or maybe he's not that bad, Shelly thought."I..."He raised a palm in the air cutting off whatever his wife was about to say. Shelly was impressed by this."Come in, let's all have lunch together." He waved them over to the dining area while walking ahead of them.Shelly walked towards the dining admiring the beautiful gold dining seats and tables that were arranged neatly. The arrangements were very good although the dining seating arrangement looked like it wa

My parents are on the way so you will also meet them.""Mommy, isn't that bullying?"The tiny voice of Cassie at the doorway snapped Kiara out of her maniacally laughter."Bullying? Why would you say that?" She asked her daughter with a small smile trying to look innocent."Well, you told me that forcing someone to do something they don't want to do is bullying," she replied with a frown."Oh, but I'm not forcing your aunty to do anything," Kiara insisted.Cassie shook her head, "Nope, ask aunty Shelly nicely I'm sure she would go with you."Kiara

He counted to ten but still, there was no response. Then as he was about to ring the doorbell again, the door swung open with full force and he saw Shelly glaring at him."Shelly?" He called not bothering to hide the surprise evident in his voice."You!" She jabbed a finger on his chest."Ow!" He winced slightly, "What have I done?"She narrowed her eyes to slits as she continued glaring at him, "If you hurt Kiara you won't leave this place alive!"Wait, what?!"Thank you for the warm welcome, may I come in now?" His voice was dripping with sarcasm as he flashed her a wide smile. She rolled her eyes then made a "hmmph" sound before opening the door wider for him to come in."Kiara, Adam is here!"
