"I give up!" Shelly exclaimed slumping on the carpet grass outside the balcony. She was breathing very fast and gasping for air. She'd been running so hard, away from her friends for the past couple of minutes? She had lost track of time already.
Kiara and Cindy ran towards her then slumped down on the grass beside her breathing heavily. That didn't deterr them from playfully smacking her arm.
"Ow!" Shelly exclaimed pouting at Kiara, "what was that for?"
"That's for almost giving me a heart attack," Kiara smirked.
"But I saved your ass from Cindy's boring lectur___" that earned her another smack, "___ow! Interesting class"
Cindy smirked at her sticking at her tongue childishly.
"I hate you guys!" Shelly pouted.
"We love you too!" They replied laughing.
They laid down there on the grass foe awhile not saying anything but staying in a peaceful silence and thinking about lots of things on their mind.
Cindy thought about how she fell
Chapter Twenty ThreeShelly groaned and stretched herself on her soft___wait this bed isn't soft? Eyes flying open instantly, Shelly sat up on her bed and realized she was back."I'm really starting to get tired of all these things!" She groaned sitting up on the bunk bed and locating her glasses on the night stand, she placed it on the bridge of her nose and saw everything clearly. The room was just as she had remembered it and though she was glad to be back here, away from Kiara and Cindy's tormenting faces she still felt a pang for not being able to stay there till the wedding day."I mean it's not real but it still looks real," she giggled talking to herself, "it's not as if I would get a chance to see them wed. But truth be told, would I really be okay with both of them getting married real life? Which is real life 'cause I don't know anymore next thing I'll know I'll be thrown into another dimension. Could it be that I'm dead?"
Chapter Twenty FourJust when she thought she got this whole thing all figured out, karma had to come bite her right back in her ass."I'm familiar with that look." She heard Ace voice as he came into her line of sight. She sighed and and ran her hand through her thick blonde curls. "I'm tired, Ace."Ace chuckled. "We all get tired of lots of things one day or rather people."She gave him an appraisal look, "And how do you know that?"Ace chuckled once again, amusement shinning in his black orbs. "I know a lot of things, honey."Shelly grimaced obviously irritated, "care to elaborate?""I'm not the problem here, love." Ace gave her a stare that reminded her of exactly what he was talking about."I need to talk to you. Is there any other place we can go?" She asked him, her eyes betraying a hint of... Was it sadness?"About time," he smirked.~~~~*They took a

Chapter Twenty Six"I c...can't b... blive I was talked into this!"Shelly kept a straight face to prevent herself from bursting into laughter and gulping in some of the mud water."Yer dink is onny," Cindy gulped in more of the water."Perhaps if you keep quiet you wouldn't drink so much water, Miss Cindy." Someone in the crowd chuckled."Damn you!" Cindy swore loudly and gulping water again.Ignoring everyone, Shelly raced to the finish line and swam out of the water diving into the neat swimming pool where she washed herself off. Then she returned to begin cheering for her family."You can do it, Kiara. Race to the finish line, Ace. Just one more person and we will advance to the next stage!"A voice boomed from the megaphone. "Thirty seconds left to the end of this round."Huffing and panting, Ace and Chase emerged at the same time diving into the swimming pool while Kiara followed suit. The timer
Chapter Twenty Seven"This is the final phase of this competition. We have only two stages left with ten families. The first five to finish in this 4th stage will proceed to the final stage. Good luck families."Cindy grimaced as she listened to the voice. "I thought this competition was over!"Shelly smirked at her. "This is far from over, Princess."Kiara clapped her hands excitedly, "I wonder what the next stage will be?""No need to wonder anymore," Luke clapped his hands excitedly."Mr Lucas I don't think that there's anything to be excited about us being stoned to the floor with puffy balls," Roy shook his head looking rather apprehensive."No uh, it's Luke not Lucas. Lucas makes me feel old so I go by Luke now," he explained.Roy looked a bit taken aback. "Pardon?""I'm explaining why my name isn't called Lucas again," he beamed happily."But... I... Not... Cindy looked ready to explode as she stared at The smirking face of The Rivals."How is this possible?" Kiara asked."Don't you get it losers, we won the competition just like you guys," the rivals mom smirked."We are going to need to break the tie by another competition," the announcer continued, "your both families will be competiting for the ultimate price.""What's the competition about?" Laura asked slightly irritated."Patience, woman." Luke growled. He was grinding his teeth and seething with rage. He would show The Rivals who the real losers were.Ace, Chase and Roy watched the scene with a bored expression. The announcer had a way of making things boring before he would break the ice and right now the ice they were waiting for was the type of contest they were going to do to prove that
Chapter Twenty Nine"I'm not going daddy and you can't make me!"Shelly rolled her eyes. Here we go again with the princess being so annoying. Who cares if she joins them for the trip or not. All that mattered is that she had actually done it. They had won the plane tickets for a family vacation."Princess, it's not compulsory for you to go alright." Roy patted his daughter's hair. She smiled. "Oh, of course then. Let's be on our way."Chase shrinked back from her. "Uhm you go ahead first."She glared daggers at him and turned towards her dad expectantly. "Daddy?""Baby girl run along. The driver will take you home," he said."What about you?" She asked surprised."Oh, I and Chase will join the Hillarys for a little family dinner and rejoicing then we'll discuss where we are gonna go for the vacation," he replied casually.Cindy saw red. "What! You're going for the vacation with... them?"
Chapter ThirtyShelly couldn't help herself or the happiness that blossomed deep within her heart. For once she actually felt at peace and couldn't keep the smile off her face."I believe I'm the reason for your smile." She heard his voice and allowed him to engulf her in a hug from behind. "I missed you," he murmered nibbling on her ear.She giggled. "Stop it, Ace we're in a public place."He gave her a blank stare, "Does it look like I care?"Someone laughed from behind them. "Oh, the joys of young love."Shelly rolled her eyes. It's been two days since her passionate night with Ace and since she had refused to tell Kiara anything about it, Kiara hadn't stopped teasing her any chance she got. Chapter Eighty-SixWhat comes to your mind when you are being taken to go see your in-laws? Bonding?Well, turns out Kiara's in-laws aren't so big on bonding together with their daughter-in-law specifically Kiara."Why do you think you are the perfect woman for my son?"The sharp voice of Ed pulled Shelly from her thoughts. He was staring intently at Kiara and just as her friend opened her mouth to respond a gruff voice cut them off."I believe that question should be directed to your son!"Shelly and the others whirled around towards the direction of the voice and saw a maid scurrying away quickly while two people stepped into the sitting room. One aura was as dominating and intimidating as the other that is Kiara's father—she knew that by the smirk and smile on her face—and Adam's father had the same aura and personality, while Kiara's mom and Adam's mom were Adam's mom had a cold exterior, Kiara's mom had

His hard voice was heard again as he stood in front of them.Or maybe he's not that bad, Shelly thought."I..."He raised a palm in the air cutting off whatever his wife was about to say. Shelly was impressed by this."Come in, let's all have lunch together." My parents are on the way so you will also meet them.""Mommy, isn't that bullying?"The tiny voice of Cassie at the doorway snapped Kiara out of her maniacally laughter."Bullying? Why would you say that?" She asked her daughter with a small smile trying to look innocent."Well, you told me that forcing someone to do something they don't want to do is bullying," she replied with a frown."Oh, but I'm not forcing your aunty to do anything," Kiara insisted.Cassie shook her head, "Nope, ask aunty Shelly nicely I'm sure she would go with you."Kiara
