I knew that Kaden was anxious about that meeting between Arthur, the lawyer and the mystery person. Kaden and Lance had to fly out today for the meeting in Boston. They weren’t due to leave until Tuesday, but the meeting had to be pushed up. The whole North East was expecting a terrible winter storm, and Kaden and Lance didn’t want to get stuck up in Boston for who knows how long. They are due back Saturday. The storm is expected to hit Sunday, so they wanted to make sure they left before it rolled in. I am currently over at Mark and Claire’s. I didn’t want to stay in the apartment alone, and Gio had to fly home. He had a family emergency, and that would have left me alone in the apartment. Claire told me to come to stay with them until Kaden got back, and I was more than happy to do that. Claire and I were planning my baby shower. I told her that I really didn’t
I don’t think I have ever seen Auntie so pissed. Grandmother was not much better, but Auntie was really pissed. I knew they had gone with our lawyer to talk with someone about that stupid contract. They had been hoping their lawyer could find some sort of loophole and get everything we were entitled back. Something tells me that whatever they found out was not what they expected. Both had come home, and I could tell by the looks on their faces that they were pissed. I knew Jalyssa had quit working at Kaden’s office. I told her she was stupid, but I knew the forced paternity test freaked her out. She didn’t think that Kaden would fight her on it, which was stupid on her part. I had talked to her a few times, but she had all but disappeared. Grandmother and Auntie didn’t even know where she was. Malik had called to let me know that the paternity test had come back,
We met with Arthur two days ago, and I am still processing what he told us. I was expecting the mystery person to be one of moms relatives, but I was not expecting it to be my grandmother and one of my aunts. Ironically the two mystery people that showed up with the lawyer are the same to that randomly showed up that day at mom and dads and made a huge scene. I am not sure what to think. I looked at mom, and she didn’t seem surprised at all. Everly and dad were on the way to the airport to pick up Gio. He finally got everything straightened out with his family. He said that his dad is doing good and should be getting out of the hospital in a couple more days. They wanted to make sure there were no other clots anywhere before they sent him home.“How are you holding up?” Brent asks.&l
I am worried about Everly. She has been acting strange this last week. I know it has nothing to do with the pregnancy, so something else is happening. She doesn’t seem any more stressed than normal. I can tell that these last three months are going to be the hardest for her. Our little man has grown considerably, and Everly has been complaining of back pain. I make sure to run her a nice hot bath every night, which she enjoys, along with her nightly foot massages. I love seeing her pregnant with my son, but I also hate seeing her in pain. I talked with Aunt Lisa earlier, but she told me that there is nothing she can really do. She told me that this is normal for being in her third trimester of pregnancy. I hate that there is nothing I can do to help her. Aunt Lisa said doing the little things that I have been a big help in keeping Everly comfortable. I am glad she has stoppe
Two more months is all I have left. Thank god, I am over being pregnant. I love my son and feel him move around, but my back is killing me. My feet hurt, and I feel like an overfilled water balloon. I am getting very worried that if he grows any more that I won’t be able to have him naturally. Aunt Lisa told me at my monthly appointment that everything was looking good. From her estimates, she says that he is 7lbs, maybe even a bit over that right now. Of course, that pushed me into overthinking mode. I shudder when I realize that if he gains a pound or more a month until I give birth, he could weigh 9lbs or more. There is no way I can push that out of my body. I can feel the panic attack starting.“Ok, you need to calm down. Everything is going to be fine.” Claire says.&
Three weeks is all we have left until our little man arrives. Aunt Lisa told us today that he could really arrive any day. I can tell that Everly is both excited and anxious. Honestly, I am feeling the same way. I still can’t believe that the birth of my son is that close. It seemed like yesterday when Everly walked into that meeting, and then I found out she was pregnant with my son. “You looked stressed,” Lance says. “I am not stressed. I am more anxious than anything. There are only three weeks left until the baby is here. Aunt Lisa told us that he could literally arrive any day now.” I reply. “Everything will be fine. Both of you have tons of support. I will admit your cousin is a big fucking crybaby.” Lance states.
I slowly open my eyes. I almost get them open when I close them again quickly. The light in this room is blinding. I slowly open my eyes again and try to sit up. A bolt of pain rips through my head, making me grab it. I feel a large bump, and my hand comes in contact with something dry and crusty in my hair. I gingerly scoot back until my back hits the wall. I keep my eyes closed until my head stops spinning. I open them again and look around. I am in what appears to be a bedroom. I don’t recognize anything in this room. I sit there for a while, trying to figure out where I am when things slowly start coming back to me.__FLASHBACK__I had been fed up with being at the apartment and wanted to get out of the house. I jumped into the shower. I had a sweater dres
I was beyond pissed off. Not only had these assholes been playing games with us for almost a year now they had officially crossed the line. They had kidnapped Everly. I knew the moment Gio walked in that something was wrong. When he said that Everly had gone to meet me at the house after she had received a text from me, I knew they had her. I called Sean immediately and told him what had happened and that Everly had been taken. I could hear him growl on the other end of the line. He told us to meet at the house since she was taken from that place. There were several cars there when we pulled up. “Shit when did they get back?” Gio asked. Standing there arguing with Doug was none other than Tianya and Kylynn. They weren’t due back until tomorrow. I watch as everyone walks into the house. The five of us hurried inside, and I was surprised to see Dad there. He held up Everly’s handbag, and a new wave of anger rushed threw me. I grabbed it and started digging through it. I f
I let out a groan as I opened my eyes. The room was dimly lit, which I was thankful for. I looked at the wall, and it was plain white. I knew it wasn’t the room that I was being held in, but I had no idea where this room was. I could smell disinfectant and hear several different beeping sounds. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I immediately tried to get up but almost screamed as pain ripped through my stomach. I placed a hand on my stomach to find it soft and flat. I started to freak out when I didn’t feel my hard baby belly anymore. “Calm down, little sprite. Everything is fine.” Kaden says. I look to where his voice came from to see him standing there. His hand is on my arm, making me stay in bed. I look at him, and I can feel the tears in my eyes. I remember hearing several voices, and then the pain started. Shit, I went into labor at that damn house. I also remember seeing blood before I passed out. “Did I lose…” I start to say. “Hush, our litt
One Year Later I had no idea that a toddler could move that fast. I am chasing Colton around the backyard. This little guy is quick. He is a year and a half now and growing like a weed. Everly and I got married six months ago, and everything has been great. Leaving him when we went on our honeymoon was hard, but I know he had a blast with his grandparents. He was thrilled when he got a set of golf clubs for Christmas. Dad and Aaron took him golfing when we were on our honeymoon; now, Colton is obsessed with it. He will actually sit there for hours and watch tournaments on tv. I will probably get him some golf lessons in a couple of years. He also loves hockey. That is thanks to Drew. Justin and Tristian. Those three are hockey fanatics and have taken Colton to several games. I laugh when I see Tianya and Kylynn walking over to where we are. They were suspossed to have started their next tour five months ago, but things happened. They had some issues with the recordings
Six months later “Are you laughing at me?” Kaden asks. “Yes, I am. I am sorry but it was funny.” I tell him. Kaden is a wonderful father to Colton. Colton loves being with his father. I am glad they have such a fantastic relationship, even if Colton is only six months. I can’t help but laugh at the two of them. Kaden was changing Colton’s diaper, and Colton just peed on his father. I was told stories about incidents like this happening, and luckily this is the first time that this has happened to Kaden. I walk over and take Colton from Kaden so he can get cleaned up. I laugh some more when Kaden pouts as he walks to our room. I am in love with our house. When Kaden showed me Colton’s nursery, I cried. I couldn’t believe he had done that for me. The nursery was set up perfectly, and I didn’t change a thing about it. I was surprised to see the glider there, but I love that. That is where I sit when I feed Colton. I love this little man so much. I am surprised that he
