18. WAKE UP

AZALEA'S POV

"If you stay, I stay, if you fight, I fight, if you die…..I die."

"Mom!." I cry out, shaking my head, I look up to dad, but he doesn't argue, all he does his bow to his mate, she bows back, her head under his neck.

Just then a loud howl is fills the air, sending the birds and owls flying, some dogs howl in response far, far away. Mom, dad and Eloise eyes mist over and they begin to howl too.

"The Alpha is dead." I hear a voice, but I don't know whose it is, my mind is in too much of a mess to try to register who spoke among my family.

This can’t be happening, the Alpha was the strongest man I know, how is it possible. Just then, mom eyes goes misty again, just her this time, I know its not a mind link, then she her eyes locks on me for a second. A loud clank up ahead was enough to shake us out of her little family moment, they were here. One last look at us, mom and dad took off running as almost a million solders charged at us, I shriek out a cry.
