I take a sharp breath in, my instincts as an Alpha and a Royal tells me to step up and do something and just as I'm about to do just that, the small courtyard is flooded with vampires. As soon as the vampires show themselves, I feel the pull from Allistair, Lance, Karlene and Genevieve to do their duty and protect me, but I quickly open my link to them.
