101 - Broken Pack, Part 01

I called a meeting shortly after Joseph was expelled. The pack had a strange feeling of tension and fear. I knew I couldn’t — and realistically shouldn’t — trust any of his allies or guards.

They were very loyal and knew that things would change from now on. Things would definitely change, just as they had in my own pack with Malia’s influence, as we now had an increasing number of female warriors.

I was completely shocked and amazed when I saw the large number of women willing to sacrifice for the pack. Some were more experienced than others since they had never been forbidden to fight, but they couldn't join my army. It wasn't that I had a specific problem with it. Definitely not. I just never thought about changing it. I grew up hearing people say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and our way was working… until her. Until Malia arrived and decided she wanted to fight.
