DRAKE’S POV

Matthew paces back and forth in the office and I could not help but envy him. If my legs were working right now, I would love to do that too.

“Can you stop pacing? You are sending the wrong signals to my brain” I complain and he stops in his tracks, flopping down on the couch on the farthest part of the office.

The urge to run my hand through my hair, or plant my face in my palm gnawed at me so hard, but my brain and my hands were not in sync at this point.

It angered me beyond measure. Because for the first time in my life, I could not do anything. Literally.

I can’t walk when I want to, and I can not move either. Not because I don’t want to, but because I am not able to.

And it is all her fault. It is all Andy’s fault. She put in this position.

For the first time in my life, I have to come to a realization and face reality. I am helpless and I don’t have any hope until she says so.

For the first time in my life I might have to at the mercy of someone.
