More than a facade?

DRAKE’S POV

Stephanie takes a while before she gets back to the table.

She lets out a deep sigh as she takes her sit.

“Everything alright?” I ask.

“Yeah… everything’s…fine” She answers a little distracted.

“It doesn’t look fine. Was it your cousin again?” I furrow my brows.

“No, it’s just a friend of mine begging for some money, it’s a large sum, she ran into debt and is looking to refund” She explains placing her phone back on the table.

“I don’t mind helping” I mutter.

“Oh no, you…you don’t have to, I have it under control. I only told you because you asked” She blinks adjusting the napkin on her lap.

“Well, it seemed to bother you so much” I shrug.

“Yeah it is quite worrisome” She tuck her hair behind her hair. My eyes travel throughout her face taking note of her features.

She had straightened her hair out and it looked silky and smooth. I don’t know how make up works, but her lips were a bright red and a light blush complimenting the simple make up on her face.
