Melody's POV:A day at mall was fun. It's not like I usually used to go out and do shopping. In fact, back in New York, I really wouldn't ever go. Because only those people went there who had friends to hang out with. But now I realized that it was fun. Especially with Cameron who actually kept on cursing his life for agreeing me to take here. But I enjoyed it.I exited the elevator of my hotel and walked in the hallway leading to my room. Looking up at my door I realized I wasn't alone in the whole hallway."Amelia." I whispered stopping in my tracks. She looked up from the phone at me as the frown subsided from her face."I-I thought you were inside and not opening. On purpose." She said softly. She looked tired and sad at the same time."Why would I not open?" I asked her as I moved towards the door.I was trying to act normal even if I felt really happy that she came to see me."Because I was mean to you?" She asked.I took out the keys and inserted it in the keyhole while opening
Melody's POV:It almost felt like flying. Except, I was falling.I shut my eyes tightly not sure if I'll really fall on the ground. And just when I thought I was about to meet the ground, I fell in his arms.Phew! I really thought I would be a mess of cracked bones."See? I told you I'd catch you." He murmured.I opened my eyes as he put me on the ground. I could almost feel that adrenaline rush inside me."I could've come from the stairs." I said dusting my jeans. He turned and looked around."What would be the fun in that?" He asked almost to himself.I don't know why but something felt different with him today. I couldn't just put my finger on it."Come on." He said before I could say anything.I opened my mouth but closed it when he started moving forward. I guess I had no choice but to follow him.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°"Wow." I whispered looking at the beautiful reflection of moonlight. "It's more beautiful at night."I don't know why we were here at the hill looking do
Melody's POV:"Can I ask you something?" Asher asked after a while. We had been completely silent for about five minutes staring into the night sky. It felt so good being here. I don't know what the time was but it was probably somewhere after midnight."Yeah?" I questioned. He seemed to think for a while before finally asking."Do you like Cameron?" He asked slowly.I just had a feeling that the question would be something like that. I didn't even have to think for the answer."Kind of." I lied with a nod.We had been sitting side by side again as I looked at the lake beneath us. I could almost make out the frown on his face."I'm just kidding. He's a great friend." I said with a smile."So you like him as a friend?" He asked with the starting of a smile.I just nodded."Does that mean you like me too?"I looked at him in surprise before realizing what he actually said. I was glad it was dark out here and he couldn't see my face flaming up."Sure, as friends." I added.I heard him sn
Melody's POV:"Do it.""I won't.""Just do it.""I said, I won't.""Oh, just make them shut up!" I exclaimed suddenly.Amelia looked at me from her couch giving me an odd look."Why are you even watching that? They're wearing my ears off." I muttered with a frown looking at the TV.Grace giggled at my words while coloring her drawings on the floor."Who said to listen to them? Just look at how hot they are." She said turning back to the screen.I looked at her unbelievably. Is she even allowed to say such things in front of her little sister?"Fine! I'll play a movie or something." She said when I hit her arm.She took out the DVDs flipping through them. While Grace stood up, took her handiwork and went upstairs. That was my queue."Can I ask you something?" I asked after a while. She looked up from the pile of jumbled up DVDs and raised a brow in question."What if...there's someone who is trapped between two things. A wall and her friend. She knows that if she walks over to the wall
Melody's POV:I was still frozen at my spot even though I can hear the clicking of heels coming closer. Before the person could've found me standing there and probably throw me out of the building, I opened the nearest door and went inside. Those were my first instincts.I closed the door behind me hearing the footsteps retreat. I took a sigh of relief but held it back in when I noticed where I was.Right in front of me was a puzzled looking Asher.I mean, I was kind of relieved that I made it to him without dying but as the situation sank in I realized that I hadn't been more nervous than this.Judging from the look on his face he looked pretty surprised to see me too."Melody? What are you doing here?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows. He probably must have thought that I wouldn't come, right? After all he asked me to come at evening not...night. But it wasn't my fault. If only I hadn't been stuck with that makeup artist.I fidgets with my hand on the door knob not sure what to say.
Melody's POV:Sometimes I wish a person had the full control of it's life in it's own hands. Wouldn't that be perfect? You decide your own future. You could've done anything thinking that the consequences were totally in your hands. Life would've been amazing."Hey Mel." Cameron said leaning on my desk as I placed the painting in a bag giving to the girl with the red hair."You look worked up, Cameron." I said looking at his sleepy eyes.It almost made me yawn looking at them."That's because I am worked up." He concluded.I wiped my hands on my apron and sat down on my chair blowing out a sigh."So I was just wondering...if we go out to a bar or something." He asked suddenly.I looked at him. I'm sure something was definitely wrong."Why would you want that?" I asked narrowing my eyes."Maybe that's how Daphne will come along too. She won't come if it's only me, you know." He added with sad eyes. He's such an actor."You're falling badly for her, Cam. It could possibly ruin you menta
Melody's POV:Maybe I was too drunk that I was imagining him. Or how else would he be here? Maybe this was a dream after all."What were you doing with him?" He asked with a frown.Even if he was my imagination, I didn't want to lose him."He was fucking touching you, Melody. Why didn't you stop him?" He asked angrily. His grip around my waist was spreading the tingles throughout my body. I missed that. I wanted that."You're really here?" I murmured. My hand instinctively reached out and touched his face slowly. He was real. I could feel the same comforting presence whenever he was around."Of course, I'm here." He muttered, the frown still on his face.Normal Melody would've been embarrassed at this situation. But I wasn't. I touched his eyes slowly as a smile formed on my face."You aren't supposed to be with anybody else." He said leaning even closer."But I liked him." I mumbled.I don't even know why I said that. I guess my drunk self was too drunk to even realise that."No, you
Melody's POV: I felt sunlight shining in my eyes making me open them. For a single moment, it felt like everything was spinning as I opened my eyes. I blinked them several times before I could finally make out the room I was in. It was my room. That wasn't the problem. The problem was my head, which was burning inside like it was on fire. I slowly sat up clutching my head. My head felt like it was a burning mess, like my brain had turned into jelly. Pulling my hair away from my face, I saw a paper on the side table with a glass of water. I looked at it for a while with a frown before picking it up. " I didn't left regretting anything that happened last night, if that's what you're thinking. I just had some things to do. Take the aspirin and the headache would be fine. I'll see you soon, angel." I looked at the words for a while before blowing out a small sigh. How did he know I was thinking that? I took the glass of water and gulped down the aspirin. I didn't know your head hu
