Third Person's Point of View

"You're being released," he replied curtly, Verania released a sarcastic laugh that echoed throughout the room.

"Are you kidding me?" Verania asked angrily, her sarcasm still evident.

"I'm kidding if I said I'm letting you go and then I tighten the bonds on you." Verania fell silent when she heard Cristoforo's reply, as if she had been doused with cold ice by what he said to her.
