Alex's POV
It's been a week since the prom, after Asher took me home that night, he fixed the door and didn't leave till the next day, said he didn't want me to be alone. Since then we'd been having nightly rendezvous, sometimes I'd get ambiguous messages with just a place and sometimes he'd come pick me up, I also figured out that the number that texted me wanting to talk (refer to chapter forty-five) was his. He later told me that he had found out about Cole cheating and wanted to tell me but I never got back to him, and literally thirty minutes later, I found out.
I felt my eyelids getting heavier and heavier as I tried to blink back my fatigue, suddenly, my phone vibrated on the cupboard next to my bed and the tiredness disappeared. I swiped my phone off the table and my entire body filled with excitement as the screen lit up with Asher's name, it vibrated again and my smile faded. What does he want?
Cole: I don't know if you're awake right now but I just
Alex's POV The winter break was finally came to a close with one day left but Asher and I still weren't dating, when I woke up after we'd... I told him that I'd be his girlfriend but he acted like he didn't say anything and now things were weird between us, I mean we still talk and everything but we haven't gone on the date he promised and after that day, the nightly visits stopped. My phone vibrated on the couch and for once, I was actually reluctant to check who it was, I grabbed my phone and turned it on, all I saw was a notification from one of the games saying that my energy had been restored and the message from Cole that I still hadn't answered in the past two weeks. I sighed and tapped on the game notification, it was a merge game and it helped me pass the time until my phone dinged and Asher's name popped up at the top of the screen. Asher: will you go on a date with me? right now. I stared at the message for what felt like hours before final
Alex's POV It was the last day of winter break and like any high school student, Chris was holding a party at his place. After I'd gotten home last night I'd gotten a text from a random number which I'd later found out to be Amy, the girl on the beach. We talked for a while and she was really cool, we had the same interests, horror movies, dislike for the entire romance genre, so I decided to invite her to the party. Amy: yeah I'd love to come. I sent her Chris's address and the time the party starts before I started to get ready. Asher and I arrived early to help Chris and Zoe get everything ready, my phone dinged on the table, it was Amy, she said she's on the way. The party started filling up quickly, after today we would begin our last semester of high school, the most stressful semester of all, that and the first semester of freshman year when we had absolutely no idea what we were doing, this was our day to let loose before all the seriousness a
Asher's POV"Eva?" her hair was different color but I knew her face anywhere, suddenly, the image of her kneeling in the locker room, her top half naked, sweat and cum dripping down her face while the quarterback and wide-receiver standing over her, palming their dicks and trying to fit them in her mouth at once, and what she said to me after,I never said we were official, it was just sex, rang in my head, my entire body felt limp and I went soft."Eva?!" Alex exclaimed, scrambling to sit up while trying to cover herself, "That Eva?" she asked, looking from me to her.Eva's expression softened and her lips curved into a smile, "Hi Ace, long time no see." she waved.I pushed my member back into my underwear and zipped up my pants, "Why the hell are you here?"She gestured to Alex, "Your girlfriend invited me."I whipped my head to Alex, from her surprised expression, I knew that she didn't mean to but that didn't stop me from f
Alex's POV It's been a few weeks since we started school so it was pretty clear that Eva's threat was just her trying to scare us. Asher and I are good right now, I like the place that we were at right now, after the night in the cave, he hadn't asked me to be his girlfriend but it was pretty obvious that we were dating, maybe he didn't want to put any labels on it. "Hey." Emma's voice pulled me from my thoughts. I looked over to my left to see her sitting next to Asher, "Hi." he said with a smile, normally he'd fake a smile at her but it was pretty obvious right now that it was a real one, "How was your winter break?" he asked. She giggled, "it was fun, went to Mexico with my family." "Meet anyone nice?" he smirked. She playfully slapped him on the arm and shot him a playful glare, "Nah," her eyes met mine, "still waiting for Alex to run back to Cole." Asher laughed, jealousy coursed through my veins and the words escaped my m
Alex's POVWe had two weeks left till spring break, the plan was to go to their "cabin in the woods" thing, normally we'd have gone to the beach or something but we needed to help Cole, if at all he's being blackmailed but sometimes I wonder what he's being blackmailed with, I found out he was cheating on me so what other secret does she know that we don't? That's what we have to find out, maybe if we know this big secret, he won't be under her spell but I can't help but think of how this secret would affect all of us. What exactly did you do Cole? After that fight with Asher, I doubt he's going to want to come, we both said some pretty hurtful stuff to each other, I knew he'd never go back to Eva after what she did but she was his first everything so obviously I'd be intimidated--- the realization hit me like a freight train, this was probably how he felt with Cole and I went ahead and cheated on him, god I'm the worst.**It was time, I had packed my th
Asher's POV I heard his voice but Alex saw him first, I turned around to see the man. He was gruff and short, wearing a red flannel with a grey tank underneath that was pulled up over his big belly with brown stains on it and his jeans were unbuttoned, his fly was open. I looked down to his feet and immediately laughed, on one foot was a plain black slipper and on the other was a pink fluffy bunny slipper, he probably has a daughter and hurried down here. Just then a little girl and a woman appeared behind him. "Honey who was it?" she asked, and once her eyes fell on us, her expression softened, "Well aren't you a darling," she said and whispered something to the little girl before she walked over to Alex, "You must be cold. Come, I just drew a bath, you can get in if you want." "Um..." Alex looked to me then back at her, "Thanks." she said and was pulled into the cabin by the lady. The little girl walked up to me and grabbed my jeans, "And you come w
Asher's POV I woke up to the sound of rustling in the room, followed by the door closing. I looked down to Alex who was sleeping peacefully in my arms, it was a nice feeling to wake up like this, I looked the window to see that the sky had cleared a little. I kissed her forehead and pushed off the duvet from my body, revealing all the various marks on her body and I couldn't help but smile, "I'm sorry." I whispered into her hair even though what I was feeling was far from remorse. I covered her fully so she wouldn't be cold and got up from the bed, my clothes which I had discarded on the floor weren't there anymore, I looked around, spotting the bags of snacks on the chest and the foot of the bed and then out clothes right next to it. I walked over and put on all my clothes before leaving the room. I walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast for us when I heard whispers coming from a room next to it. I didn't want to eavesdrop but I couldn't help myself and stuc
Alex's POV We approached the cabin quietly and watching out for any traps that they may have laid down for us. Zoe took my hand, pulled it over her head and wrapped her hand around my waist to help me walk. "He's gonna be just fine," I said, "right?" I asked, suddenly unsure of my former statement. Zoe didn't answer and just stared straight ahead at Cole and Chris's backs as we neared the cabin. Eva decided to stay in the car, she sounded like she didn't even care about Asher. "So what's the deal man?" I heard Chris whisper to Cole, "Why are you just okay with being Eva's henchman?" "I don't think this is the right time for this talk Chris." Cole spat. Chris remained silent the rest of the walk until we got to the cabin doors, "Just whatever it is man, nothing and I mean nothing will ever come between our friendship, no secret is that big." he said and immediately kicked down the door. "Asher!" I yelled immediately, hoping to s
