I hung the phone up with Jensen and then dialed my man I had watching her. His phone just rang then went to voicemail. I threw my phone down on my desk. “Damn it!” I yelled. My best sniper and tracker wasn’t answering his phone and now I was blind about this whole thing. I knew I should have gone myself, but after my last encounter with Lynn, I couldn’t risk Jensen finding out that I was on to him. I had known from the day that I asked him to find her that he was protecting her, I just wanted to see how much he would risk for a woman he didn’t even know. My relationship with him has worked just fine for both of us. His reputation for being a cold-hearted leader had made him almost as feared as I was, so it was only natural for us to work together.
