Bex and I head upstairs, I am so exhausted, and I can barely keep my eyes open. This is very odd to me, as I have had visions before, but nothing to the point that I was so completely drained after the fact. This is the hardest part of the visions. I can still hear, see, smell and feel everything from the vision for sometimes days after. Dinner was so hard, I didn't want to eat anything as it all smelled and tasted like burnt fur or flesh. I ate what I could but I started to feel very sick to my stomach so I stopped. I’m still a little hungry, but there is no way I'm going to be able to eat anything right now.
As we reach the Alpha family wing, I start to feel increasingly tired, almost to the point I cannot walk. Bex mind links her brother. I can't hear what she is saying but I know he will be here in just a few moments. I sit on the floor as I cannot move any more. I see his silhouette and my heart skips a beat. I haven't even told Bex this, but I'm in love with Teddy, He is all I think about and all that I want. But I know he only cares for me as a friend of his little sister. He stops right next to us and kneels in front of me. “You okay?” I'm trying hard to keep my eyes open but my body just wont let me. “I cant move anymore, I'm so tired” “dont worry love, I got you.” As he reaches to pick me up, I feel a strong electrical current spark between us, my wolf is suddenly completely alert and we are engulfed in light, the brightest light I have ever seen. He sees it too as his eyes get big with wonder. Once we look back at each other there is a tugging between us, it then becomes clear, we are fated mates. My heart starts to race. “Mate” I whisper.
He wraps his arm around my back and under my knees and carries me bridal style to my bedroom. Once in my room he gently places me on the bed. All I can see is the light surrounding us but as soon as he releases me, the light goes away and we are left looking into each other's eyes as we come to terms with the new gift we have received.
Bex, who has been staring since the light show, is smiling from ear to ear. She almost looks comical, but I’ll never tell her that. I look around the room to see both our parents and my brother standing in the room. When a wolf finds their fated mate, there is a change in the atmosphere, and all within the house felt it, and everyone was smiling. I'm terrified to look at Teddy, would he be mad? Does he want me as a mate? I carefully look back to Teddy and the most beautiful smile is across his face. He sits on the bed, holding my hand, then puts his other hand to my cheek. “I love you Jen, always have, always will” My eyes start to tear up from his declaration. “I love you too, always.” He sighs as he lowers his forehead to mine.

Teddy stands up to move to Jen’s other side, as Momma Rose comes over to make sure Jen is okay, it looks like there are a few bruises forming on her arms and legs where we had held onto her during the violent vision. I worry there are other injuries we cannot see. “I’m fine momma, I promise” Jen tries to push her away, But momma’s not having it. Papa Rick comes over to Teddy and asks to speak with him in the hall, my father follows along.

I’m worried as I walk out into the hall. I don't want Alpha to take this away from me. I want to make her happy, to give her everything in life. I want her to have my pups. Dad walks out with us, and I cannot read his expression. The fear and angst starts to crawl up my throat. I don't like the way this looks, or how I feel.
“Son, before I ask this question, congratulations on finding your fated mate.” The alpha states. I start to release some of the tension in my shoulders, but I am still cautious. I know that I have grown up with Jen and Marcus, and that Alpha and Luna are like a second family to me, but Alpha can still take away the gift from the goddess. “I need to know one thing only, Do you Teddy truly love my daughter?” He asks, searching my eyes for any deceit. “With all my being” I reply instantly, “I want to make her happy, I want to protect her, I want her to be the mother of my children. I just want to be everything for her sir, I have loved her for years, and I have never wanted anyone or anything as much as I want her. I promise this.” Tears are in my eyes as I speak, this is the first time I have said these words to someone other than Marcus or Bex, I feel like a led balloon has come off my shoulders. I look at my father who has a look of pride on his face. “Congratulations son,” he says, “now you know what it felt like when I met your mother.”
“Teddy,” The alpha is looking at me intently, offering his hand to shake “Welcome to my family son. I am more than proud for you to be Jen’s mate” I just smile.
