“Jack Warren, where the bloody hell are you?”

The man in question patiently sits behind his desk watching the door as it burst opened. He should talk to his ‘man’ about who was allowed entrance into his residencies from now on. He acted on pure instinct when he so quickly married Jazz Duncan.  Uncertain as yet what his plans was but no one was going to made her look like a fool while married to him. He should give his ‘man’ a huge bonus for wiping the footage from the internet.

“Bastard,” screeched the tall girl. She stopped in front of his desk slapping her open palms down on the smooth top.

“Carly King,” he said nonchalant.

“Is that all you can say?” she truly tries to control her temper. Suddenly she stood upright and strolled towards a close by chair sitting down. She takes deep breathes to calm her flaring temper.

“What do you want Carly?”

“Is it true?” she asked in a now soft almost girly voice.

“You have to be more precise with the accusation.” He said indifferent.

“Are you married?” Carly truly sounded shocked and hurt.

“Yes,” he answered simply.

“What about us?” she asked shocked.

“There is no us, Carly. You were the occasional fuck that was the arrangement right from the start. I told you to not expect anything from me.”

Carly King sits there almost like a frozen statue. When she woke this morning, she received the shock of her life. She admits to herself she had many a rich boyfriend, always one for immediate play but things become different with this man. She recently started to noticed the road marks on her body and expertly concealed face.

“Hey, are you awake?” the soft urgent voice asked.

“Hmmm,” she mumbled.

“Please opened your eyes.” The voiced asked urgently.

Jazz felt a startle of emotion in her heart hearing the uncertainty in the young voice. She slowly opened her eyes looking into scared uncertain ones. The boy immediately stood away from the bed. She frowned when she realized she wasn’t in her own bedroom in The Duncan Residence. She also realized she wasn’t wearing her own sleepwear. She quickly sits up against the pillows. She looked directly at the boy who stood motionless watching her movements.

“I have a confession,” she said immediately.

“What is it?” he asked softly curious.

“I forgot for a moment I am married to your dad,” she confessed.

“Dad,” he asked puzzled.

“Yes, Jack Warren.” Jazz looked into his startled face that quickly shifted into understanding.

"Jack is my brother,” he said quickly looking briefly towards the door.

“My apologized, this is all new to me.” She admits truthfully.

“For me too,” he said with a small smile.

“What is your name? And how old are you?”

“I am Jason Warren and I am eight years old.” He said formally.

“You may call me Jazz; I am twenty-two going on three soon.” She suddenly throws the covers from her body jumping out of the bed. She stretched before quickly moving towards the window. She flings it wide open. She quickly takes in her position doing the first stance in the capoeira dance. Her body’s movements fluent with precision. Once she finished, she stood laughing. “My work out for the day. The space is a bit cramped.”

“What do you call that?” Jason sounded impressed.

“I was a wild child growing up.” She. instantly burst out laughing

“What do you mean?” he asked intrigued.

“Well I lost my parents in a car crash. I was sent to live with my grandmother. Feeling hurt and sad and wanting to be in a destructive frame of mind my grandmother allowed me to run wild. I ride my bicycle daily, I swing from tree to tree, I fight the children in the neighborhood. Then my cousin comes and lived with us. We instantly didn’t like each other. Long story short, we were instant enemies. Her playground for bully was the school grounds. I met an exchange student, her instructor taught me Capoeira.”

“Wow, I like you.” Jason admits in honesty.

“Where is your brother?”

“I saw him enter his study.”

Jazz noticed he was suddenly reserved. She quickly moved towards him and give him a tight hug.

“Are we finished now that you are married, Jack?”

“Yes, I am sure you have your next guy in waiting Carly. We both know the boys just loved you.” He said cynically.

“You make me sound like a whore?”

Jack said nothing both knowing she was the runny bunny of the rich and horny. He really liked her but he never intended to marry her. His thoughts quickly went back to yesterday thinking of the cheeky girl he married without setting down his ground rules. That certainly wasn’t his usual actions. He was a black and white guy no gray areas in his dealings.

The study door opened again without ceremony. He watched the light-footed girl enter looking alert but puzzled.

“Jack, we need to…”

Jazz suddenly aware they were not alone. She looked at the motionless man before facing the woman. Her very first thought she certainly was an older version of Eva. She noticed the hard lines around the lips, make up heavily clearly concealing her true age.

“You married a child, Jack.” The woman said shocked. She stood before circling around Jazz, a snarl played around her lips. “At least you could have bought her new sleepwear instead of giving mine away,”

Jazz slowly smiled also looking the woman over in a judgmental way. She then looked at the man who still sits motionless just watching them. She shrugged her shoulders knowing she must survive on her own just like at her grandmother’s place. She faced the woman. She was married now but she was no-one’s object of ridicule. This fight should be stopped right now.

“Who are you?” Jazz asked pointedly.

“Carly King, I am his girlfriend.”

“That explain the clothes, will give it back in a minute. Now, Carly King, the girlfriend, you are no longer needed, I am the wife in this scenario. I don’t share, I fight for what’s mine. You may leave.” Jazz dismissed her.

“Bitch, I am no backstreet whore, you will not talk to me like that.” Carly snarled before storming Jazz with clawing fingers. The Brazilian dance comes into play again. Jack stood fast but not fast enough, Carly stood with the sleepwear in her hands, shocked she stared at the strong, hot, young body with rippling muscles leaving the study.

He should consider buying a place where he could start a fresh life with Jazz. He watched her being busy making coffee.
