Chapter six

Aurora Maxwell

" That what happened Nina, so now are you going to finally tell me what happened between you and your mate, like seriously how you could be so careless to sleep with another guy when your mate was in the same room with you." I questioned,still finding it unbelievable to actually believe.

How could she be so careless and leave a carefree life just because of the hurtful words are ex boyfriend had said to her once upon a time and now her carefree life probably got her mate very hurt,trust me nobody wanted to see the one made for them by the goddess having sex with another.

We both got too tired of sitting and decided to lay down on the bed cuddling a pillow. 

"You don't have to scold me Aurora , I know what I did was foolish but my mate shouldn't have killed that innocent male wolf on the spot. You know me, all true my life especially after the breakup from Nathaniel my ex boyfriend I have decided to live a free life that's not boring so it not my fault my mate caught me at a compromising position at the wrong place and time. "She said sadly,tears almost spilling out if her eyes making me feel bad for questioning her dignity and pride. But if I don't question her who will,best friend or not that was a very low move on her side.

"Yes I Know that but you wouldn't blame your mate, trust me nobody wants to ever see their mate getting it on with another person. If I had the same confident and was as strong as your mate I would have probably done the same to the other shewolf,I would have snapped her neck into two without thinking of the consequences "I said to her patting her shoulder.

I myself wasn't over what happened hours ago between my mate and the shewolf he had been screwing. I saw it as a big slap to my face even though I knew it was my first time finding do that doesn't consider as cheating but he was my mate,he was supposed to wait for me just like how I did for him.

"Do you know who your mate is and how you are going to find him again."she asked changing the topic.  curiosity was clear in her face, raising her head to see my face properly.

"I don't know who he is Nina, we didn't have enough time for an introduction since he was fucking another women. "I spat with distaste, standing up from the bed no longer feeling comfortable lying down.

"Opps , sorry that must have hurt, so now how do you feel are you hurt. "

"How do you think I feel? I'm more than hurt, I'm pissed off, sad and angry,I feel like snapping someone's neck into half,I have never felt this much in my life."

" I Know it hurts and I can only imagine the pain, but if he comes looking for you and begging on his knees after realizing his mistake will you take him back. "

What she said had me questioning all the anger I felt,a werewolf mate was very important, everyone knows that , cheating wasn't enough reason for a shewolf to reject her mate. Werewolf rarely cheats once their mate was found,I could only hope and pray it was the same in my case.

" That's if he comes begging, other than that then I have no choice but to mate another wolf. "I said placing my hands on my hips.

I Know it was impossible for me to mate with another wolf when I have found mine already,I was just trying to console myself stating I had another option but that's a big fat lie.

" You know that will kill you right. You have meet your mate and the mate bond has started when you looked into his eyes so mating another wolf will be impossible and rejection could kill you. "

"Don't you think I know that Nina ."I couldn't help myself my snap and put part of my frustration on her.

" So what are you going to do."she said in a low voice that I wouldn't have heard her if I lacked werewolf abilities.

" Just give me some time to think about it,ok? please."I said sadly to her using my hands to massage my face.

She nodded her head just in time Johnathan our pack warrior walked more like barged into my room with a scowl on his face without knocking.

"You father said you should get ready for your punishment and I should lead you to the pack ground immediately."he said in a voice that sent fearful shivers down my spine.

Time for my punishment,a part of me wished my father forgot about it but I knew that was impossible. He can never miss an opportunity to discipline a wolf.

"I'm very sorry Aurora." Nina said through our mindlink.

"It's not your part,this are the things I have to pass through in other to be a good Luna." I replied her as I walked to my wardrobe still feeling aware of the watchful gaze of Nina and johnathan to change into some pairs of trousers and shirt that will surly end up being torned.

I couldn't help but let my mind wander as we all made our way to the clearing just outside our land. Who would be brave enough to save , definately not Nina or my mother that's for sure.

I shivered in fear at what was to come to me in less than thirty minutes. I wished a sudden earthquake could happen to stop the toture that was about to be placed on me.

Walking closer to the clearing, my mouth hung open as we reached the clearing which was usually empty and filled with nothing but howling winds and dust, it was now fully packed; almost impossible to squeeze past anyone.

A way was made for I and Johnathan to pass,I could see my mother and Brandon giving sad and pity looks from the side and it was very annoying.

Stop giving me sad looks and help me mother dearest.

"Is everybody here?" My father asked with a loud voice that boomed round the clearing and cause the pack members to shiver in fear. As usual his hair was tied in a ponytail and his face held his infamous ugly scowl.

"Good. We are all here to watch how I the alpha Maxwell, alpha of the shadow green pack punishes his  daughter aurora for her disobedience, for sneaking out of the pack land without permission and for finally poisoning two of my pack warriors to sleep while she escape"

Hushed whispers from nosy pack members filled my ears , the look on their faces filled with surprised, they all looked so shocked probably wondering why the little good Luna found the balls to do such a thing.

"I'm really sorry Aurora please forgive me." Nina said once again through our mind link in a whimper. I could feel the guilt eating her up but this was my cross and I will and must carry it alone.

I gave her a tight smile in return not been able to find my voice.

My head shot up and my face was met with my father. He was smiling wickedly as he ushered me to stand in front of the crowd.

"Let's hope you survive this honey, and learn your lesson not to behave otherwise again" my father said in a soft voice close to my ear, pretending  loving and caring but I knew better.

My hands started to tremble and I scanned the crowd for the eyes of my mother and nina, but all I could see were thousands of pairs of eyes staring back at me. Looks like the whole pack was present together with the other side we called the east pack.

Finally something juicy to watch to spice up their boring lives.

"I am sure you know what happens daughter now Johnathan come forward and start the whipping, please remind my daughter how a good girl is supposed to behave." My father said to Johnathan who walked forward and gripped tightly onto a whip, playing around with it in his hands ,this was what Johnathan was good at whipping people.

"Now step forward and kneel down aurora" my father said looking at me with a smirk.

I gasped in fear as I knelt down before the pack. I will be whipped by Johnathan till I could no longer move a limb of my body.

Tears started to rim my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. If I cried, I knew it would only make them whip me harder. That was the type of sick monsters they were.

My father was a sick monster he ruled with hard fist and he didn't look like he was very close to giving up his alpha position up.

"Let's begin"my father voice boomed and surprisedly none of the pack members cheered or clap ,each of them gave me a pitiful look and that of sadness.

My shoulders were grabbed roughly by my father and his eyes glared at me, I still asked my self why did I go to the club with Nina , I should have refused so I wouldn't have to endure this unending totoure.

I knew I was about to experience pure torture. I was about to feel the most pain I've ever felt in my life. I have never been punished before,I have always been a good girl who does the cooking and cleaning but now I have done bad.

I looked behind me to see a Johnathan, smiling at me. He gripped a long whip that was made of wolf bane.  Bile rose to my throat and squeezed my eyes shut tightly, just waiting for it to be over.

*Hit*

Then I felt it,it felt horrible just say you know. The whip slashed my skin and I knew it had instantly drawn blood. Shock spread throughout my body as the stinging and burning sensation rippled through me,I was sure it affected my wolf too.

I screamed out in pain, gritting my teeth, trying not to look weak. I heard other pack members screams and yells,some cry in sadness  Nina voice was the loudest among them all. I was sure this was an ugly sight to watch.

*Hit*

Another pain ripped through me and black spots appeared in my vision. Blinking them away, I regained my composure. I could do this.

I was a Luna,I wasn't weak,think of mate ,think of mate aurora.

Why should I think of that bastard after what he did to me,maybe if I haven't found him with fucking another she wolf and I had ran away ,I might be happy receiving this dreadful punishment.

My back was in agony but was numb at the same time. The tears I was fighting to hold poured down my face like a waterfall and I placed my hands over my ears, trying to block out the thundering clap of the whip making contact with my skin.

Johnathan was showing no mercy with every whip,I was sure he was a sick and demented bastard just like my father who secretly enjoyed whipping people.

"Alpha Maxwell, the big bad wolf is here and he is looking very angry like he could destroy the whole place in half"a pack warriors shouted ,as I heard his foot steps run to meet my father.

I didn't dare look up to meet my father's eyes, I didn't know the fear in my body which was greater or worse, continually  being whipped or facing the big bad wolf.

"Johnathan continue with the whipping I will be back"my father said and I heard his footstep retreating.

I kept my teeth gritted as I gazed up just as I was struck again, and through blurry eyes, I saw a figure running a few meters in front of me.

"It's the big bad wolf,every body run back to the pack house, immediately,that's the alpha orders." A voice screamed in panic making Johnathan the coward drop the whip on the floor and run away.

I fell to the ground exhausted, sliently feeling thankful the big bad wolf saved me from prolonged totoure.

Everybody left me in the clearing,no one came to help me or rescue me but before I could close my eyes and drifted off to sleep i saw a shadow of someone cloud my vision.
