Brock left the bathroom and bumped into Blake.

“You asshole.” He whisper yelled. What did you say to her?”

“I asked her if she slept with you.” He stated.

“Douchebag.” Brock said. “No we haven’t slept together. You could have just asked me. And if we ever do it’s none of your business, you made that perfectly plain, when we spoke about it, the next day.”

Just as Blake was about to say something, Elaine interrupted the whispering boys.

“What are you two up to? Where’s Melissa? I’m preparing lunch for us all. Then afterwards I thought we could play some games. Oh Blake will you go and help your father. And remind him of Melissa’s name. He keeps referring to her as Melinda. Honestly that man.”

Blake nodded and walked off to find his father.

“Brock” Elaine said pulling her son into the living room.

“I’m kind of hoping that you and Melissa will get together. That’s one reason I invited her.” Elaine said to her elder son.

“Mom. Seriously? Did you set this up?” Brock said

“I know how long it’s been since you had a girlfriend. I think you’d make a lovely couple.” Elaine hugged her son as Melissa walked back into the room.

“Lunch is at 12:30 sharp.” Elaine winked and walked off.

“What was that about?” Melissa asked

Sighing Brock ran his hands through his hair “I don’t know. Anyway fancy a drink?” He asked.

“Yeah okay I’ll have..” Melissa said

“Bourbon, no ice right?” Brock interjected.

“Yeah but with lunch I will have a glass of red wine.” Melissa laughed.

They spent the next 30 minutes, laughing and joking when Blake appeared and said “Mom said Lunch is ready. Move your asses and get something to eat.” Brock walked past him, and as Melissa went past him he whispered loud enough for only her ears.

“I’d like to eat you.” He grinned at Melissa who stared at his back as he left, because she’d heard what he had said. Following into the dining room after Blake. Elaine said “Ah Melissa, you’re here, inbetween Brock and Blake.” Melissa smiled and started to feel uncomfortable.

It wasn’t Elaine’s fault. She had decorated the dining room, with Christmas decorations, photos of the family adorned the wall, tinsel and fairy lights were everywhere. Even the big mahogany table was Christmassy.

No Melissa felt uncomfortable because she was thrown into confusion, she was developing feelings for Brock and her feelings for Blake were confusing. He was hot and cold. One minute he was moody the next he was flirty.

She didn’t understand. Melissa was brought out of her reverie by Tony asking her “What do you do for a living, Melinda?”

“It’s Melissa, Tony and I told you she’s the CEO of Hartford industries where I work.” Elaine corrected him.

“Ah so you’re CEO then? What’s that like?” He asked

“Busy. Stressful no two days are the same.” Melissa replied honestly.

Elaine had disappeared, Melissa angry at Blake excused herself from the table entering the kitchen on the premise of helping.

“Elaine is there anything I can help you with?” Melissa asked

“Oh gosh dear no. You’re our guest.” She said.

“Please allow me to help.” Melissa said.

“Okay can you take the vegetables through please?” Elaine asked.

Grabbing one tray with four bowls of peas, carrots, cauliflower and cabbage on, Melissa made her way through to the dining room.

As she laid the tray on the table, she began taking the metal dishes off the tray.

“Ooooh carrots, seaweed, boogers and white trees.” Tony announced “my favourite.”

Melissa laughed at Tony’s description, she decided she liked him, he was funny and had funny descriptions for things. Melissa did wonder how he went on in the world.

Elaine came in and brought in her special meal she had cooked “Ok. This is everything.” I’ve cooked this in honour of our British guest. It’s called a shepherds pie.” Elaine announced proudly.

Melissa took a seat smiling a frozen smile, and Brock offered her some wine, unknowingly to him Blake had one hand on Melissa’s thigh.

She had a smile frozen in place, her heart was in her mouth, she was both angry and confused, as she served up some of Elaine’s delicious meal, onto her plate. Brock offered the wine, and looks suspicious. Knocking his napkin onto the floor the bent over to pick it up, he noticed Blake’s hand on her thigh.

Brock quickly picked it up but as he did so he pinched Blake’s hand, causing him to yelp. Earning him a smug smile from Brock. And a “Really boys?” From their mum, as if this is all old hat to them.

“So Andrea, is there a boy or girl you like at school?” Melissa asked relived and saddened that Blake’s hand had been removed and quickly put it back in place.

Brock flicked mashed potatoes at his brother. Who had to remove himself from the table to clean himself up.

Brock’s hand gently squeezed Melissa’s leg to show support. Before removing his hand. She couldn’t concentrate on what Andrea was saying. Before Blake came back, Brock had asked Melissa to pass him the salt, and he poured it into Blake’s red wine. Blake came back, as he walked by Melissa to his seat and he sat down.

Tony asked Melissa “So Melinda, do YOU have a boyfriend?”

Melissa nearly choked on the wine she was drinking. Blake let out a snort of laughter, as Brock’s hand sat slightly further up her thigh giving it a little of squeeze just to acknowledge he was on he side.

“No. I don’t. There was someone who I thought I could be with. But he just used me and ghosted me.”

“The bastard.” Tony said, “how could any guy do something like that to someone as lovely as you. I will have a knife fight with him.” He said picking up his knife and pretending to have a fight with an invisible figure.

“You’re sweet, Tony. Thank you.” Melissa side eyes Blake who looks a little uncomfortable.

‘Good. He should look uncomfortable.’ Melissa though as Blake took a big gulp of wine only to spit it out.

Brock smiled and said “Something wrong brother?”

Blake smiled a sinister smile “No brother nothing wrong.” And he replaced the hand on Melissa’s other thigh but his fingers crept round to the inside of her thighs. Staying away from her pussy, he was gently stroking. Grabbing her fork off the table, Melissa covertly stabbed Blake in the hand with the handle of the fork.

Not leaving a mark, but enough he winced in pain gaining a look from everyone at the table.

But what about Brock? She found herself starting to fall for him the same way she did his brother. "Brock, what do you mean?" She asked, giving Brock a conflicted look. Brock paused, he was going to tell her about what his mother said, he knew what Elaine was up to, his mother had a big heart, she invited Melissa for two reasons, one was because she was alone at Christmas, Elaine hated the idea of anyone being a

Brock and Melissa walk down the street. Sully and Storm slightly out in front of them. Sniffing at all the new smells occasionally lifting their legs on the lampposts which bring the couple to a stop, only for them to carry on, after a few seconds of the dogs deciding that the smell is not worth following up.There is a comfortable silence between them, as they pass nicely decorated houses and now closed stores, it’s only broken when Brock tells Melissa about certain things that happened in specific places.“This is where I broke my leg when i was 15.” Brock said pointing at a plaza that had a statue of a unicorn in bronze, rearing up, on a plinth, surrounding it is stairs that lead down to a fountain, and railings.Brock continued on “I was a bit of a skater when I was younger. And I was trying to do an Ollie, and instead I fell, landing on my leg. It snapped in two places. I was in plaster for 8 weeks.” He chuckled at the memory. They walked a bit further “Oh this used

It was getting close to seven pm when the two walked in. Getting in out of the cold December air, the two took off their coats, and the leads off the dogs, Brock shut them in the small living room, that was separate to the one the family were sitting in.Elaine looked over to them when they walked in, “Hello lovely’s, are the dogs okay?”“Yeah they enjoyed their walk and even chased a squirrel.” Melissa said laughing.“It’s okay for you Sully pulled me into a bush.” Brock said with a smile.“So we thought we’d have a few drinks, and perhaps play a few more games?” Elaine said.“Before you do I have something for you.” Melissa disappeared into the kitchen and then returned five minutes later with the mince pies. “I Erm...... I made these for you guys, they are kind of a tradition in the U.K. we have them at Christmas and in my opinion they are delicious.” She said opening the biscuit tin, that she was holding, to show mince pies with icing sugar on top.“You can eat

The two sat on the steps to the porch and talked, the chiminea giving off a little heat, kept them warm.“I was out here taking photographs of the snow. It’s such a lovely picture, I couldn’t sleep.” Brock admitted.“Oh same. I tossed and turned.” Melissa agreed, taking a sip of the hot chocolate.Brock fiddled with the camera, holding it up, Melissa looked out over the street now covered in a cold white blanket. It sparkled under the dim light of the street lights. It looked so magical. Melissa thought how picturesque the street looked, the dark sky, the dim orange glow and the white snow.Even the cars were covered in the deep snow.Out of the corner of her eye she saw a flash of light and whipped her head round to look, there with a guilty look on his face was Brock.“Oh my god Brock, you didn’t just take my picture? Give me the camera I’m deleting it.” Melissa placed her now empty mug under the swing seat on the porch, and she reached for the camera in Brock’s

THE NEXT MORNING - CHRISTMAS DAYMelissa woke up to bad breath, opening her eyes blearily, she saw a drooling, brown and white muzzle in her face “Urgh Sully you stink.” The St Bernard gave her a sloppy lick on her face. “Stop. I’m up.” Melissa said pushing the dogs face away gently.Sully got up and onto the floor, Melissa, sat up, scratching her head a little confused and woolly headed as to where she was for a little while.Getting up, she walked up to the back door, the dogs hot on her heels. Opening it, they ran out only to come to a sliding stop on the entryway floor, when they saw the snow. Storm looked out at the white blanket that now covered the previous lush green grass. Sully watched Storm eyeing him. He always made sure that it was safe by watching Storm in situations like these.Taking a couple of cautious steps forward he stuck his nose into the snow, sniffed, and growled at the cold white stuff, deciding it was safe, he ran off into the garden, chasing in

After letting the dogs in, Melissa walked back towards her basement bedroom, not looking around just focusing on where she was going. She was beyond angry, she felt humiliated and embarrassed.Melissa hated all these emotions and they were starting to overwhelm her, she felt the bitter sting of salty tears burn at the back of her eyes, swallowing hard so the tears didn’t fall, she walked bumping into another hard body. Not daring to look up at the face of the person, she knew who it was from the Avengers pyjamas.“Hey sweetheart.” Sleepy eyed, and hair all messed up from sleep, he had bare feet. His deep voice rumbled, Melissa looked up at him, he was looking at her with a bright smile on his face, when Melissa lifted her head, his smile faded.“Babygirl what’s wrong?” Brock asked quietly. Melissa couldn’t respond, the tears would fall if she did. Brock understood and putting his arm around her shoulder took her to her bedroom, as soon as she stepped onto the steps and the

CHRISTMAS DAY EVENINGMelissa was changing getting ready to go to bed, she smiled as she thought back to earlier in the day. They’d had an amazing dinner, and gone to relax. Elaine had opened some alcohol and Brock suggested that they play some drinking games, with their parents, Andrea could drink soda and join in. Elaine and Tony had passed on that idea so that just left Blake, Brock, Andrea and Melissa.Andrea said that it’s weird to play drinking games with her brothers, so she left to go up to bed. Which loosely translated she was going to go FaceTime her friends. That left Melissa, Blake and Brock. “Ok so how about we play monopoly with a twist?” Blake suggested. Brock and Blake explained the rules. When you land on another’s property the owner of said property tells you how much the rent is and what to drink, you pay the rent and chug a drink

Brock woke up with a start, his arm was draped across the bed, looking sideways he saw a sleeping Melissa, her hair messy from where he’d had his hands in it, he smiled at this. Then he remembered earlier, when he’d made love to her. He saw Blake at the top of the stairs, and yes a small part of him had felt euphoric, here was Blake watching as his older twin was deep inside Melissa, this felt to him like he was asserting his dominance over Blake. Like Brock was trying to say “This is how you treat a woman like Melissa” Brock felt Melissa stir and she rolled towards him, “Hey.” Melissa said before she realised they were both naked in bed pulling the covers further over her naked chest. “Hey beautiful.” Broc

But quickly changed her mind.“What was young Melissa like? Party girl? Nerd? A FEW DAYS LATER“This is soooo relaxing.” Melissa crooned as the masseuse rubbed oil into her back.At the same moment Brock’s phone rang. Adjusting his towel around his waist he got up and took the phone call into the hallway. Melissa allowed herself to think back on the previous days events. “Babe? Babe? Come on wake up.” Melissa shook Brock’s shoulder. Opening a bleary eye Brock looked at Melissa. She was showered and dressed. Wearing black skinny jeans, and a red cashmere sweater, her hair was tied up in a high ponytail and she had make up on. Brock jumped out of bed and in the shower. Showering and dressing in record time he grabbed the keys to the Porsche and they went to the car. Brock snapped his belt in the drivers side, and started the engine, pulling out of the parking lot, before driving off to his and Blake’s apartment. “So you sure you want to do this alone?” Brock asked.

Grabbing the phone Brock could see that this has pushed Melissa over the edge. He grabbed the detectives card and typed in the number. The voice came out down the end of the phone as if he’d just been woken up “Yeah?” “Hi it’s Brock Milligan, I don’t know if you remember the break in a Melissa Hartford’s place.” Brock said into the phone. “Yeah. I remember. What of it?” The voice said no longer full of sleep. “There’s been a development.” Brock said putting his arm around a now shivering Melissa and guiding her into the living room. “On my way.” The detective said before hanging up. Brock pressed the red button to cancel the call. And sat Melissa down next to him on the couch. “Baby, you okay?” He asked worried that this would be a tipping point for Melissa, knowing that even the strongest of women would find it difficult to cope, with everything that happened. “Y-yeah.” She said haltin

Melissa awoke to bright sunlight streaming through the glass windows. The warmth felt nice on her skin. Rolling onto her side she opened a sleepy eye, she had a sudden feeling of dread, as she saw a tie that was not Brock’s, and a memory of last night came flooding back, Chris, she remembered the way his hands felt on her body, and the way he felt inside her, for a brief second she smiled then she felt an arm drape across her. That feeling of guilt gnawed away at her insides. She’d cheated on Brock. A single tear ran down her face as she realised this fact. She was in her own world thinking of what to say to Brock how to redeem her relationship when a voice, thick and scratchy from having just woken up, startled her. “Good morning babygirl. Not too stiff I hope.” The voice came from behind. She immediately turned over, and was met with Brock’s smiling face, an eighth of an inch of stubble, and very messy hair. Bro
