MADALINA

It was difficult to distinguish who was more shocked - me or him. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach, mixed with growing anger. In the depths of that anger, a tempest of emotions churned and seethed.

"You marked me!" I yelled at him.

He looked up at me, paralyzed by my fuming reaction, immediately covering his mouth with his hand as if he had said something he shouldn't have. Paradoxically, it was his actions which brewed a small storm of wrath within me.

Breathe, Mada, breathe. Don't kill your mate.

"I-I-..."

"You what?!"

He finally tried to speak but no words came out. At that point, he was already aware of the mistake he had made, and my outburst caught him off guard.
