Meeting Anna

**Iris’s POV**

A familiar scent hit my nostrils as I turned over on the bed. I was reluctant to leave the dreamworld. Hence I laid there a few more minutes, but I knew I couldn't stay there forever.

My eyes fluttered open and I sighed. It wasn't as if I could see a thing, but I had no choice. Only in my dreams do I get to know what it feels like to see again, and I mumbled a word of prayer to the goddess.

I felt a presence in the room but didn't freak out since it felt familiar to me. Ever since I lost my sight, I had horned my other senses, my sense of hearing and perceiving became more sharpened as that was the only thing I could do to help myself. I reached out for my cane, which was always beside my bed and struggled to get on my feet.

“I see you're awake.” A familiar voice said.

“Good morning.” I greeted in return.

I imagined that look on his face, he hated being corrected or worse, scorned . I could feel his slight hesitation before he moved closer to me.
