I’m Sorry Arthur

Iris's POV

Sniffing uncontrollably and still crying profusely, I trued to wrap my head around what I had just heard.

It occurred to me that Arthur might be lying to me, but it all sounded too realistic to be faked. I laughed hysterically and cried simultaneously, my world was a lie, my life was a blunt lie.

Arthur shifted uncomfortably, and his eyes held regret and pity and I scoffed, I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out.

Arthur's feet shuffled, and he made to switch off the computer, I held out my hand and stopped him, whatever was on the drive, there certainly was more there and at this point I didn't know what was real or not anymore, this was a bitter pill, but I was willing to swallow it rather than continue feeding myself with lies.

“Is it all true?” I asked, my voice croaky.

Arthur sighed loudly and let the computer be, he moved towards me and trued to caress my face, but I moved a decent distance away from me, I needed space, time and literally every other thing.
