"Are you going with me or him?" Jack asked as we were going down the stairs
"Him for sure" I replied
"I'm still waiting for that day" he joked
"He is just my best friend"
"Sometimes, best friend leads to boyfriend"
"Jack" I grunted and remembered something "You haven't told me about your date with Sarah"
"And I'm not going to tell you"
"Did you guys kissed?"
"She kissed me first" he nodded
"Kiss is kiss.What does it feels like?"
"Unexplainable but it was good"
"Wow! Aren't you supposed to pick her up this morning?"
"That is where I'm heading to right now"
"Definitely, you didn't even plan to take me to school today and you were just asking for asking sake"
"The three of us would have gone together"
A car horned in front of our house
"That is definitely Liam" I said and ran out of the house "Bye Jack" I waved at him and closed the door
"Look who is here?" Liam joked as I opened the door
"Hey, good morning" I said
"Good morning, how was your night?"
"Not great because I couldn't get Melinda out of my brain the whole night"
"Likewise I. That was one of the most scariest thing that I've ever heard in my entire life"
"It's my own scariest, I still can't believe that Melinda wouldn't be coming back here alive. What if there's truly a wild animal inside the woods" I said slowly
"Who knows, there might be"
"There might be?"
"I'm not saying there's, it just an assumption"
"Okay"
He passed me a brown paper bag "Here" he said
"What is inside?" I asked as I took it from him
"Check it out yourself"
"Okay"
"Wow, thanks" I said and brought out a hot donut "Where is yours?"
"I ate mine before coming"
"Okay" I divided it into two and passed him one
"I'm okay thanks"
"Okay" I said and started eating it
I was always one of the first kids in school anytime Liam gave me a ride to school and today wasn't different. So, we chatted inside his car until the bell for our first class was rang
Our English language teacher, Mr Williams, the husband of Mrs Williams, the presenter was the one we were having first and we had to be in the class before his arrival because according to him, he was a man of principles.
"Good morning class" he greeted
"Good morning sir" we replied
he motioned for two students to locked the doors for him before continuing "And today, we will be talking about Figures of speech. Who can define figures of speech for us?" He asked while scanning our faces
"Sir" Darcy said as she raised up her hand in the air while I eyed her
"She ain't done anything bad this time around" Liam whispered carefully into my ear
"I know, I just don't like her"
"Yes, Darcy" Mr Williams said and Darcy got out of her seat to answer the question
"Figures of speech are words or phrases used in different ways from their usual meaning so as to create a particular mental image or effect. Or..."
"It's okay Darcy" Mr Williams cut her off" "You may have your seat. Anybody else? Anybody else?" He asked "A round of applause for Darcy"
We all clapped for the Miss know it all while she scanned the class to see who didn't
"Now, let's move on" Mr Williams said
After explaining what figures of speech was, he moved on to it examples
"And can anyone of you gives me an example?" He asked and Darcy's hand was up in the air again "not you this time around" Mr Williams said
"Roland" Mr Williams called
"Simile" he said
" A round of applause for him" we clapped "Anyone else?"
"Janet" he called referring to always gum chewing Janet
"Sir" she said between chewing gum
"Throw that thing out of the window and give me an example of figures of speech"
She reluctantly moved to the window and threw out her chewing gum
"And the answer?" Mr Williams asked annoyingly when Janet wasn't talking
"I don't know it"
"Come and stand in front of the class and that is where you're going to be till the end of my period"
Janet murmured something inaudible and moved to the front of the class
"Liam Brown" Mr Williams called because there were two Liam in our class
"Personification" Liam replied
"A round of applause for him. Irene" he called
"Hyperbole" I replied
"And can you give me an example of an hyperbole?"
I thought about it for some second before speaking while giving Darcy a side look
"My birthday party was attended by the whole world"
"A thunderous applause for Irene"

"For what?"
"I want to get somethings for mom"
"Okay but you will be paying for my lunch"
"I have no problem with that cause I love spending on you"
"It's not as if we are dating or something" I said and hit him slightly on his shoulder
"Yeah, we are not but you are more than a girlfriend to me"
"Wow" I said in amazement "What am I to you?"
"The best best friend in the whole wide world"
We both laughed
"Brown and Cage" our P.E teacher called our names, diverting everybody's attention to us
