Chapter 8 - The dream 2

25 days to her birthday

Thursday

"They are almost here" the olden voice said "They will soon be trying to break their way in. And Amara will be leading his armies this time around"

"Who is Amara?" I asked

"He is the beginning of the war. He started the war against us and he has been winning the war for centuries. If you loses, we loses. We all loses"

I heard some loud, thunderous footsteps, it was coming towards the temple and I started panicking

"What am I to do?" I asked the olden voice

"Nothing for now Irene" the olden voice said "The first thing you need to do is to know the story behind the war" And instantly, I was in the woods, in the midst of wolves and some paled looking men

Are these vamp...., I thought

"Yes they are vampires" the olden voice said

"The real life vampires" I whispered in amazement

"Tiana" a huge man that was surrounded by some crazy, angry wolves and some vampires said

Wow, I'm invisible, I thought as I passed through them in order to stand next to the man to see who he was talking to.

"Whose side are we on?" I thought

"The man by your side" the olden voice said

An extremely paled man and a young blonde girl was heading to us, heading to the huge man

"What are you doing with him Tiana?" The man asked sadly and I wondered who Tiana was to him

"That is one of his daughters" the olden voice said into my head and I nodded

"Dad" Tiana called

"And who is the pale man?" I thought

"Amara Conrad, the king of the vampires" the olden voice replied

Even though I didn't know Amara Conrad personally, his name and his appearance was enough to make me pee my pants

It was obvious the two men don't like each other. So, why will his daughter be with the pale man?

"Dad" Tiana called  "I just hope you can listen to him, he means no harm"

"What are you saying Tiana? He is killing your brothers and sisters, he is killing our people"

"If you can give him a chance"

"Give him a chance for what? He wants your alpha, your king, your father to bow down for him. What has he given to you"

"Nothing but love" 

"Tiana" he called while trying to maintain his cool "Come home with me and we will talk"

Amara Conrad smiled

"Tiana, he is just using you" the huge man said

"And you're just using our people. We need a great ruler like him, not someone like you" Tiana spat out with hatred

"You're not my daughter. You're just an imposter. My daughter will never look me in the eyes and say those words" the huge man said bitterly

One of the wolves by his side growled, scaring the life out of me

"Look around you" the olden voice said and I did 

"Oh!" I gasped when I realized that we were surrounded by thousands of the pale looking creatures

"There is no way out of this" Amara said coldly and I could feel his cold voice deep down my bones "It's either you bow down to me or you all die"

"Die?" I thought

"Ask no more, just look" the olden voice said

"You betrayed your race, you betrayed your pack, you betrayed your blood, you betrayed your father and you betrayed your alpha" the huge man said with his voice full of pain "You told them we are coming. You betrayed me. Since you all want to be his slaves, so shall it be" he said into something that was in his hand, Tiana was now scared "Slaves shall you be forever, all of you" he shouted and swallowed the thing "Attack" he screamed while I screamed "no!!!" And rushed to the man as if I could save him

He turned into a wolf instantly but I wasn't scared of him. All what I wanted to do was to save him but I just went through him

Skin were torn, blood were shed and before I knew what was happening, the huge man was down

"And this was how the war started" the olden voice echoed and the next second, I was on my bed. 

My bones felt as if they were on fire, my body was burning, my throat hurts and my eyes felt as if it was about to be pulled out of my skull. I've never been this sick before in my life. Something was happening to me, I was sure of that. My teeth were clenched together and I was scared that I might not made it to the morning.

I tried to get up but I couldn't, it felt as if an unbreakable force was pulling me down

"Jack" I tried to called but my throat caught fire instead, I was going to  die

I could hear things that were happening in the woods., the Crickets chirping, the snakes hissing, the squirrels squeaking, mom and dad moaning in the room next to Jack's (I wasn't going to look at them the same way again), the dog's barking and all sort of sounds.

Someone was in my room, I could feel it and I was scared of the person. What if the person in my room was Amara Conrad? What if I wasn't just having an ordinary dream? What if my life was at risk?

"Jack" I tried to call again

The person walked up to my bed, his footsteps burning my eardrums. I tried to shift from my current position but I couldn't, the force that was pinning me down this time around was greater

"It's okay" said the person and he started rubbing his hand on my head and I felt more relaxed "Now sleep" he commanded and I moaned in response

"Irene" someone called and knocked my door "Irene"

"Yes" I replied and opened my eyes

Wow! I'm still living!, I thought and rushed to my mirror to confirm it. I'm still living! I'm not dead yet

"Irene" Jack called and knocked on my door

"Yes"

"Good morning, can I come in?"

"I'm coming" I said and opened the door "Good morning"

"How was your night?"

"Not bad" I lied and went back to my mirror

"Aren't you going to school?"

"Why do you care? It's not as if you're taking me to school"

"Are you still mad at me?"

"Why won't I be? Aren't I suppose to be?"

"Okay, I'm sorry"

"One day, I too, I'm going to have a boyfriend"

"I'm sorry for saying that to you"

"It's okay"

"You've forgiven me?"

"Yeah"

"Hug me to prove it"

I moved to him and hugged him

"So, aren't you going to school today?" He asked

"I'm going. Liam is coming to pick me up. You and your girlfriend deserves your privacy"

"I didn't mean to say that to you"

"I told you that I've forgiven you and I meant it. I'm just saying the truth, you deserves your own privacy"

"Okay then, bye"

"Bye" I waved and smiled at him

"Love ya"

"I love you too"

I stayed by the door and tried to listen to his footsteps until he was inside his car but I was unable to

My phone rang and I ran to pick it up

"Hey" I said

"Hi" Liam said "I'm on my way to your house"

"I'm not going to school today" I whispered into the phone because I didn't want my dad to know "I'm not feeling fine"

"Have you taken any drugs?"

"I haven't but I will"

"Okay"

"Bye"

"Take care of yourself"

"You too" he hung up the phone and I went to my bathroom to clean myself up

After making sure that everyone in the house had gone out, I went to Liam's room and borrowed his laptop

"Amara Conrad" I typed inside the Google box and pressed search

"There he is" I said when I saw his sketch. He definitely was the one

According to the article, Amara Conrad was a powerful king during his lifetime, who ruled from the 1104th - 1180th.

I went through the article again to see if there would be anything about he being a vampire but none was there.

So, I input "Amara Conrad the vampire" but nothing of importance showed up.
