He then announced the upcoming annual festival for Lord Mrityunjaya was being held on the 9th day of the next maasa and the celebration that followed it will be for only the night instead for the complete day and night. He elaborated that this was due to the recent monetary losses Nishantha had suffered that the celebration had to be cut down.
The courtiers agreed to all and there weren't any discussions regarding this.
Then Samudra asked each of the minister to come up with the expenses needed for the next year under their respective responsibilities. He also cautioned them to keep the expenses under check and spend only for those which were needed and were not luxury.
