Trouble in the office

          ""What's your name?"" She asked.

         ""It's Kelvin ma'am."" He replied.

     She sighed and walked inside her room.

         "Why can't father just leave me alone? What do I need a personal assistant for?" She frowned.

        Kelvin arched her brow, she might not need a personal assistant but he needed the job and the money.

       She walked to her study. Kelvin stood rooted to the spot he stood on. He looked around feeling uneasy.

        She came back with a pile of manila folders in her hands.

         "Hey, come take these." She said.

     He rushed to her and took the files from her.

          ""You should learn how to respond to me very fast and move fast too. I hate slow things and people."" She scoffed.

        Kelvin nodded, "Yes ma'am." He gulped.

           "We have a lot of things to do."" She walked briskly to the door. He hesitated.

        She turned and looked at him, "Are you not coming along? Do not just stand there."" She frowned.

       He blinked and walked to the door. She sighed and shook her head.

          ""You are impossible, man."" She thinned her lips and continued walking.

          He followed her trying to catch up with her and at the same time hold the folders in place.

             ""We have a meeting to catch up with and I want us to be there in time. I hate being late."" She said.

            'She sure does hate a lot of things.' He thought.

          She increased her pace, he was surprised. How could a lady her height walk this fast?

           He tried matching her pace and controlling the folders. In his haste to meet up with her, he tried running a little but accidentally slipped and the pile of folders fell on his head.

           Anna turned and looked at him, she felt slightly embarrassed seeing him on the floor. She held her head, annoyed and irritated.

          Kelvin groaned and stood up slowly. The files were scattered all over the floor. He blinked and sighed. The files were many and Anna was clearly in a hurry.

         He looked at Anna who was staring at him silently but with fury in her eyes.

         ""I am so sorry ma'am. It was an accident.""

           She bit her lips to prevent her from outburst.

         She sighed and bent down to assist him in arranging the folders.

         ""Let's be quick about this. I don't have time to waste."" She said quietly.

         He nodded, ""Yes ma'am.""

      In no time, they were done arranging the folders and Kelvin quickly took them.

         ""Let us go."" Anna said.

       They walked out of the mansion and went to the garage.

        Anna's driver was already waiting for them.

          ""Come on, let us move at once."" She said to the driver.

          He nodded and entered the driver's seat.

         Anna got in. She signaled Kelvin to enter the car too.

        ""Come on Thomas, do not delay. It's important we get there on time."" She said.

          He nodded, ""Yeah. I'll be as fast as I can."" He ignited the engine and soon they were out of the compound.

           The silence in the car hung heavily. Kelvin shifted uneasily on his seat. He glanced at Anna who was busy typing away at her phone.

          He exhaled and looked out of the window trying to clear his head.

            The day hadn't even ended and he was already feeling stressed.

        They soon arrived at the company Anna headed. 

          Anna alighted as soon as they arrived. Kelvin hastened to meet up with her. He gawked at how large the company was.

         As soon as Anna got to the entrance, her secretary came to meet her.

           ""Ma'am, Mr. Hamilton is here already and he is waiting for you.""

         She nodded, ""Alright.""

      She turned to look Kelvin, ""Hurry up. We have an important visitor.""

           He nodded.

        Her secretary raised her brows in surprise as she saw Kelvin. He was definitely the most handsome face she had beheld. She bent her reddened face when Kelvin passed her to catch up with Anna.

           When they got to the entrance of the conference room, Anna faced Kelvin.

         ""Please try to be in your best form. Mr. Hamilton is a very important stakeholder in my company and I do not wanna lose him, you hear me?""

           ""Yes ma'am."" He nodded.

       They entered the conference room.

       ""Miss. Anna, I've been waiting for you."" Mr. Hamilton said.

          She smiled, ""I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting, it was unintentional. I hope you have not been waiting for too long?"" She asked.

          He shook his head, ""Not for too long.""

          ""Okay, we can now start."" She said.

         ""Are we all complete?"" Anna asked her secretary.

          ""No ma'am. We have one person yet to arrive."" She replied.

         She frowned, ""Why hasn't she arrived yet."" 

          ""I have been trying to call her but she is not answering her phone.""

           Just then the door opened and a lady walked in.

           ""I'm so sorry everyone, I'm sorry I am late."" She said casually and walked to her seat.

         Kelvin's eyes popped out in surprise and shock.

            Her eyes met with Kelvin's who immediately looked away.

         She removed her sunglasses to look at him properly.

          ""What is he doing here?"" She looked at Anna.

        He gulped and a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

          ""What do you mean by that?"" Anna arched her brows.

         She stood up, ""Why is he here? How is he here?"" She pointed at him.

           Mr. Hamilton looked at her, ""Do you have a problem with him being here?""

          She banged the table.

         ""He is not supposed to be here!"" She yelled.

           Kelvin's heart raced, he could feel his hands trembling, his whole body was tensed.

          Anna stood up, ""Miss. Evelyn Wilson, it is either you sit down or you get out of here!"'

          Evelyn's face was red with rage, ""Anna you do not know who this guy is. He is definitely going to ruin everything about you!""

         He blinked and opened his mouth to say something but no words came out.

           Anna furrowed her brows, ""How do you know that?""

         ""Of course I know him. He once worked for my mother as a cleaner and stole her money and ran away."" She accused.

        Everyone in the conference room gasped. Anna turned to look at him with surprise in her eyes.

          Kelvin shook his head trying to defend himself.

           ""That is not true."" He said.

        ""He is even trying to say I am accusing him falsely. He is not only a thief but also a liar.""

             Mr. Hamilton looked at him intently, ""Young man, is whatever she is saying true?""

          Kelvin's heart stopped.
